Stafford is coming off a four-touchdown showing vs. the Patriots, which resulted in a season-high 27.8 FPTS for the quarterback. He is likely available in your fantasy league, but that doesn’t mean you should pursue him as a streamer for Week 12. Stafford is facing the Eagles and should come back down to earth after torching New England.
Philadelphia’s defense has been the best unit in the NFL, especially against the pass, with them giving up the fewest yards per pass this season (5.5). Since returning from their bye in Week 5, the Eagles have only surrendered two passing touchdowns, which is the fewest over this stretch. Furthermore, they have recorded 22 sacks, which ranks second in the NFL during this span.
This is the worst possible matchup for an immobile pocket passer like Stafford and he isn’t worth considering this week. Stafford has only topped 20 FPTS twice in 10 starts this season and he ranks 26th in FPTS per dropback among 39 eligible quarterbacks.
