NFL Week 10 Start or Sit: Marvin Harrison Jr.

NFL Week 10 Start or Sit: Marvin Harrison Jr.

Updated:

By: Ciaran Doyle

Marvin Harrison Jr. has had quite the up-and-down rookie season. He is currently 19th among receivers in DraftKings fantasy scoring, but his performances have been up and down. In four of his nine games this season, Harrison Jr. has at least 15.5 FPTS. In the other five games, Harrison has basically been nonexistent, with an average of 3.1 FPTS and a high of 5.6 FPTS. You never know what you are going to get on Sunday from him.

The last two weeks are the perfect example of Harrison’s inconsistency, as he recorded six catches for 111 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Dolphins, and followed that up last week with two catches for 34 yards against the Bears.

So should you start or sit him in Week 10?

I think sitting Harrison Jr. if possible this weekend makes the most sense, as he has a tough matchup. He will likely be matched up with one of the best cornerbacks in the game, Sauce Gardner. The Jets have not been good as a team this season, but their secondary is still elite. New York is second in the NFL against the pass this season, only allowing 158.2 pass yards per game. The Cardinals should look to their run game this Sunday, which is the weakness of the Jets’ defense.

Harrison Jr. could very well end up making me look like a fool here with one of his breakout games, but he has underperformed more times than not, and this matchup should make that trend continue. Sit Marvin Harrison Jr. if you can in Week 10.
