Week 10 of the NFL season has arrived! The fantasy tight end landscape is in a state of constant flux, so it’s time to take a deeper dive into that position.
Let’s break down my Week 10 start ’em, sit ’em fantasy football TE picks.
Start ‘Em: Taysom Hill (Saints) vs. Falcons
It’s the year 2044. Location? The Superdome. The crowd roars, as a 54-year-old Taysom Hill just punched in a one-yard touchdown to put the Saints up by six.
On a real note, this man is inevitable. Until proven otherwise, he’s going to find his way into fantasy-relevant territory at some point during the year. With New Orleans down Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, Bub Means and Kendre Miller, that time appears to be now.
Hill received 10 touches against the Panthers as a receiver, rusher and passer, turning them into 16 PPR points. He should remain heavily featured this week against a Falcons squad that allows the eighth-most fantasy points to tight ends.
Sit ‘Em: Mark Andrews (Ravens) vs. Bengals — THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Andrews’ touchdown streak ended last week, and as a result, so did his fantasy production.
The veteran was targeted just twice, hauling in both balls for 26 yards while receiving just a 49% snap share. There are just too many mouths to feed in this Ravens offense, which means Andrews will have to make the most of his targets to stay relevant from a fantasy perspective. While he’s more than capable of finding the end zone, I would pivot to a tight end who is more heavily featured in his team’s game plan.

Start ‘Em: Mike Gesicki (Bengals) at Ravens — THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Gesicki put up monstrous numbers in Cincinnati’s last outing against the Raiders, catching five balls for 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns. A journeyman his last few years, the 29-year-old may just have the most underrated hands in the league, as it seems like he hauls in at least one absurd catch every couple of weeks.
Gesicki has now been heavily involved in back-to-back weeks and will no longer have to contend with Erick All Jr. for targets, as the rookie unfortunately tore his ACL last Sunday. Even if Tee Higgins returns to action, I expect Joe Burrow to look his tight end’s way early and often against Baltimore.
Sit ‘Em: Sam LaPorta (Lions) at Texans
It’s been a year to forget for LaPorta, who is coming off yet another underwhelming performance. The star tight end has seen only 12 targets over his last four contests, officially entering touchdown-or-bust territory.
That’s not a game I want to play against the Texans, who allow the fewest fantasy points to this position. It’s hard to justify outright dropping LaPorta, but he should be benched for the forseeable future.
