The Philadelphia Eagles got two of their best offensive players back on the practice field Wednesday. WR A.J. Brown (knee) and TE Dallas Goedert (hamstring) are both practicing today.
Brown left Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars after suffering a knee injury. On Monday, an MRI revealed it wasn’t a serious injury. He is labeled as day-to-day right now, which is a good sign for his status against the Dallas Cowboys this week.
Brown missed three weeks earlier in the season after sustaining a hamstring injury in the first game. Right now, Brown is WR34 in fantasy football PPR leagues. That is impressive since he has only played four complete games this season. He has caught 23 passes for 444 yards and three touchdowns this year.
Goedert Injured his hamstring during the Eagles’ Week 6 game against the Jaguars. He has missed the previous three games. After Brown injured his hamstring, Goedert took on a larger role on the offense. Goedert had an incredible performance of 10 catches and 170 yards against the Saints. He also caught seven passes against the Buccaneers in Week 4. Even though he has missed time, Goedert has the 15th-most yards among TEs.
This week, the Eagles have a favorable matchup against their biggest rival, the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas is 3-5 this season, and its defense has allowed at least 27 points during its three-game losing streak. If the Eagles get Brown and Goedert back this week, they will present significant problems for a struggling Cowboys defense. It is still early; Brown and Goedert will have to log more time on the practice field before we know their status for Sunday.
