Donovan Mitchell is a key cog in the well-oiled Cavs machine, averaging 23.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in his eight appearances. It could be a big night for him against the Pels.

For Wednesday’s game between the Cavaliers and Pelicans, Mitchell’s lines are currently set at 25.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Mitchell only played against the Pelicans once last year, and it wasn’t a particularly strong outing. He scored 14 points, pulled down four rebounds and dished out five assists in that one. However, he did hit four three-pointers, which was a bright spot.
The Cavaliers look fantastic thus far, but their star guard hasn’t been scoring at an elite level in his last five games. Mitchell’s 25.5 points line may be slightly high since he’s only crossed that threshold once in that span. Bettors can consider either side of this line, with the over at -105 odds and the under at -125.
Mitchell’s assists line of o/u 4.5 is probably a safer play. He’s looked to pass quite a bit so far this year, and though the over is set at -130, it’s likely to be a reliable option. One more line which could hold more appeal is Mitchell’s 29.5 PTS + AST, the over of which holds -125 odds. This feels like pretty good value for a line the star guard is likely to beat, so this may be the best pick for Mitchell on the evening.
