That move by Saquon Barkley, I’ve never seen anyone do that in my life. I think the only time I’ve seen that was in Super Mario 64 when he’s trying to rescue Princess Peach.
But that move kind of encapsulates the Eagles. They are finding success on talent, not on coaching. Everything Nick Sirianni did backfired vs. Jacksonville.
I’m not sure what Sirianni does to help his team win games at this point. He made a couple very questionable decisions. He took points off the board.
That was a win for the Eagles, but it never should’ve been that close.
New Orleans’ headaches may not be over yet
I thought Derek Carr handled Michael Thomas’ comments as classily as he could. Thomas clearly has some pent up issues.
With Thomas gone, his problem with Carr isn’t a Saints matter.
But an issue the Saints do need to sort out is Chris Olave’s brother retweeting some of Thomas’ comments. Olave’s brother wouldn’t do something like that if Olave hadn’t said something to him about it. There’s no way that just happens.
Deadline Day positioned perfectly
We’re at the point in the season where you know which teams are going somewhere and which aren’t. I’m glad they pushed back the trade deadline for this reason. Previously, it was too early to know if teams were good or bad yet.
Now, teams can go after guys who might not have been available if the deadline hadn’t been pushed. The Saints are a great example of this. They won their first two, but now they’re in a full rebuild after firing Dennis Allen.
The Chiefs are thin at corner. The Bills could use some help in the secondary. Will either of them pull Marshon Lattimore out of New Orleans?
