Here’s a look at some of the top betting picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Monday, November 4.
Lakers -7.5 (-108)
The Lakers are favored by 7.5 points heading into Monday’s matchup against the Pistons, and with Anthony Davis in peak form, they’re well-positioned to cover the spread. Davis has been dominant early in the season, averaging 31.8 points and 12.0 rebounds through six games, including a 38-point, 11-rebound performance in the Lakers’ recent win over Toronto.
Historically, Detroit has struggled to contain Davis, who averages 28.3 points against the Pistons — his highest scoring average against any team. The Lakers, who have won their last seven meetings against Detroit, also benefit from LeBron James’ strong start. The veteran forward is shooting an impressive 44.1 percent from beyond the arc.
Meanwhile, the Pistons are coming off a back-to-back, having rallied in the second half for a 106-92 win over Brooklyn on Sunday. Fatigue could be a factor for Detroit, and the Lakers’ defensive intensity, coupled with their high-powered offense led by Davis and James, should allow them to control the game and cover the -7.5 spread.
Suns -7 (-112)
The Suns enter Monday’s matchup against the 76ers as 7-point favorites, riding a four-game winning streak under new coach Mike Budenholzer. Phoenix has won five of six overall and looks strong on both ends with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant leading the charge. In their most recent game, the Suns displayed dominance in the third quarter, outscoring the Trail Blazers 44-18 and hitting 9 of 18 from beyond the arc. Budenholzer’s team has shown flashes of excellent defense and offensive rhythm, but they’re still working on consistency over 48 minutes.
Philadelphia has struggled without Joel Embiid and Paul George, who have been dealing with injuries. The 76ers are 1-4 in their last five games, including a 124-107 home loss to the Grizzlies on Saturday, where they were out-rebounded 52-33.
With Embiid’s return still uncertain and George’s Philly debut possibly coming with limited minutes, the 76ers are at a disadvantage against a Phoenix team firing on all cylinders. Backing the Suns at -7 is a solid play as they look to exploit Philadelphia’s weakened roster and lack of interior presence.
Kings +1 (-115)
The Kings look well-positioned to cover the +1 spread against the Heat on Monday night thanks to their balanced roster and recent hot streak. Sacramento’s big offseason addition, DeMar DeRozan, has seamlessly integrated with the team, leading the Kings with 25.3 points per game and consistently scoring at least 20 points in all six outings.
DeRozan is coming off a season-high 33-point performance in a narrow overtime loss to the Raptors, demonstrating his mid-range prowess and ability to draw defensive attention.
While coming off a 118-98 win over the Wizards in Mexico City, Miami has shown some early signs of wear, particularly with Jimmy Butler’s dip in scoring to 17.0 points per game. With DeRozan, De’Aaron Fox, and Domantas Sabonis providing a strong offensive core, the Kings have the tools to make this a competitive game. Taking Sacramento +1 gives value in what could be a tightly contested game.
Myles Turner Over 14.5 Points (-125)
With the Pacers dealing with a depleted frontcourt, Myles Turner will be relied upon heavily in Monday’s matchup against the Mavericks. Indiana has lost James Wiseman and Isaiah Jackson to season-ending Achilles injuries, leaving Turner as the lone true center on the roster. This opens up additional scoring opportunities for Turner, who has averaged 14.4 points in five games this season. Turner excelled against the Mavericks last season, posting an average of 26.5 points across two meetings.
With Indiana also missing Aaron Nesmith and possibly Andrew Nembhard, Turner’s offensive role is set to expand even further. Facing a Mavericks team that will be on the second night of a back-to-back, Turner’s increased minutes and offensive responsibility make him a solid pick to exceed 14.5 points at -125.
Daniel Gafford Over 9.5 Points (-105)
Daniel Gafford has been a consistent contributor on offense this season, averaging 10.5 points through six games. His recent track record against Indiana is solid, with 10.2 points per game across five matchups last season. Under head coach Rick Carlisle, the Pacers have typically played aggressive defensive schemes against Luka Dončić, aiming to disrupt his rhythm and limit his scoring opportunities.
However, with their frontcourt depth compromised, it’s uncertain whether Indiana will stick with this high-pressure approach or shift to more traditional coverages as other recent opponents have done against Dallas. Regardless of Indiana’s defensive scheme, Gafford should benefit as a play finisher, capitalizing on opportunities created by ball movement and defensive rotations. Given the Pacers’ limited interior presence, Gafford has a solid chance to surpass the 9.5-point line in this favorable matchup.
