It’s important to look at WR/CB matchups when setting your fantasy football lineups. At times, we have some matchups that we can exploit and receive the best fantasy output in return. I’ll do my best to point out some of the best Week 10 WR/CB matchups to target when making your fantasy or DraftKings lineup.

Week 10 WR/CB Matchup:
Josh Downs (IND) vs. Taron Johnson (BUF)
Downs keeps finding himself in this article week after week. Last week after being featured, he wound him making six catches for 60 yards on nine targets. While it wasn’t a huge game for him, he’s clearly the WR1 on this team when Joe Flacco is under center. In the four games that Flacco has started, Downs averages 9.7 targets compared to just 5.6 with Anthony Richardson. Now, in another great matchup, I’d expect Downs to flourish once again.
Johnson has only played five games for the Bills and it’s been a rough stretch for him. He’s been targeted against 21 times allowing 18 catches for 210 yards (11.7 YPR) and a touchdown. Johnson is allowing a lot of yards after the catch with 112, which accounts for 53% of the total yards allowed. With no signs of Flacco going to other receivers at the rate he is with Downs, this could be a huge game for him. The Colts are +3.5 underdogs in the game, so a pass-heavy game script will be even more beneficial for Downs.
Week 10 WR/CB Matchup:
Darnell Mooney (ATL) vs. Alontae Taylor (NO)
We wrote up Taylor last week as he was going to be covering Jalen Coker. Coker caught both of his targets when lined up against Taylor for 36 yards. Overall, Taylor allowed five catches on eight targets for 47 yards. He didn’t give up a ton of yards but he’s allowing a 77% catch rate on the season. Now, he’ll be in a much tougher matchup against the Falcons and should see plenty of Mooney.
Mooney stepped up as the WR1 last week after Drake London had to depart early with a hip injury. He ended up seeing nine targets and made five catches for 88 yards and a touchdown. We still don’t know if London will be able to suit up or not his week, as he’s currently considered day-to-day. Should he be out, Mooney would once again assume the WR1 role in this offense.
Even if Mooney isn’t lined up against Taylor, the Saints traded CB Marshon Lattimore to the Commanders, who was arguably their best corner. This will now mean that along with Taylor, the Saints will deploy CB Ugo Amadi and Shemar Jean-Charles. Despite being in the league for four years, Jean-Charles has only played 103 snaps with four teams. He’s been targeted against 12 times, allowing 11 catches for 159 yards.
Week 10 WR/CB Matchup:
Terry McLaurin (WAS) vs. Donte Jackson (PIT)
The surging Commanders will have a tough matchup this week against the Steelers. They’re slight -2.5 favorites but will have to combat a ferocious pass rush. Luckily for them, their offensive line has been great and giving Jayden Daniels time to throw. When he’s working with a clean pocket, Daniels has a 78% completion rate, an 85% adjusted completion and averages 8.6 YPA. One of his favorite targets has been Terry McLaurin, who’ll matchup with Donte Jackson on a good chunk of his snaps.
Jackson hasn’t been as strong as he was in his final year with the Panthers last season. While his catch rate against has gone down thus far, he’s allowing an average of 12.4 YPR on 22 catches. Jackson already has seven missed tackles under his belt through eight games. Five of them have come over his last three games and is trending toward a new career-high, which is 15. With McLaurin averaging just under seven targets per game, he should be in a solid spot to produce.
