AJ Dillon start or sit: Week 11 fantasy football advice

After yet another one-possession defeat, the Green Bay Packers look to rebound at Lambeau Field against the Los Angeles Chargers. In order to do that, they will need significant contributions from their backfield rotation, including power back AJ Dillon.

Fantasy Football analysis: Packers RB AJ Dillon

Few teams have endured more issues in the ground game than the Packers this season. Several things factor into those problems, from an injury-plagued offensive line to the multi-week absence of Aaron Jones.

For much of the year, Dillon contributed to those struggles as well. The fourth-year back currently leads the Packers in carries and rushing yards, though he averages just 3.7 yards per carry and has only produced one touchdown to this point. And with Jones seemingly back to full capacity, Dillon’s role has probably already maxed out.

At the same time, Dillon has performed better over his last two games. He has rushed 18 times for 110 yards over that stretch and, last week, produced his longest play of the year, a 40-yard run against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dillon might not see as many touches as he did during Jones’ absence, but he might do more with the ones he receives.

Start or sit in Week 11 PPR leagues?

Sit. Dillon might have turned the corner in terms of his efficiency, but that doesn’t mean he’ll produce enough volume to merit serious consideration for fantasy managers. He hasn’t touched paydirt in over a month and that came with Jones on the shelf. In leagues with 12 teams or less, look for alternatives.

Start or sit in Week 11 standard leagues?

Sit. Dillon has two catches for 14 yards over the last two weeks, so managers don’t lose much value in standard formats. Still, the veteran running back just doesn’t have an easy path to fantasy relevance at this time.

Player(s) you would start ahead of AJ Dillon

DKN recommends starting the Carolina Panthers’ Mile Sanders or the Seattle Seahawks’ Zach Charbonnet ahead of Dillon. If the Baltimore Ravens’ Keaton Mitchell remains available, he makes sense as a starting alternative as well.
