The Jets host the Texans on Thursday Night Football in Week 9. Here are some Davante Adams prop bets to consider at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Here are Davante Adams’ current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 56.5 receiving yards and o/u 4.5 receptions. Adams is +140 to score a touchdown, +1000 to score 2+ touchdowns and +750 to score the first touchdown of the game.
The Texans’ defense is 5th in the league in EPA/dropback. Their defensive strategy has basically been to accept that WR1s will get theirs no matter what and to take away everybody else. That is why I am backing Garrett Wilson as still the Jets’ top receiver, despite Adams coming to town. The Patriots employed the same strategy last week, putting their star CB Christian Gonzales on Adams for a lot of the game. Gonzales completely shut down Adams when he was on him in man coverage.
Adams had four catches for 54 yards last week and three catches for 30 yards in his first game as a Jet. Garrett Wilson is the high-production guy for Rodgers, while Adams is more of a safety blanket on a big third down or a broken play. Wilson has been able to create massive separation and break big plays while Adams’ separation has been virtually non-existent. The lack of separation usually translates to minimal YAC because the defender will be right on the receiver even if they do make a catch.
Adams is unlikely to break an explosive play which is usually needed to clear a sizeable receiving prop. His target share has also stayed below Garrett Wilson’s, so going over 56 receiving yards is a lot to ask of a WR2 creating minimal separation. Adams might have a big catch or two in an important moment but I am betting on him to stay under 56.5 receiving yards.
