UPDATE: 5:53 EST: Dalton Kincaid spoke with reporters after the game saying, “Thought I could go then just didn’t feel good enough to run and be able to go out there and protect myself.”
Kincaid was wearing a knee brace when he made his return. He originally hurt the knee on an overthrown ball from Josh Allen that Kincaid laid out for attempting to make the pass. The tight end’s knee hit the turf awkwardly and he left the game shortly after. He briefly returned to the game for a few snaps after halftime but eventually was downgraded out doubtful and remained on the sideline for the rest of the Bills’ 30-20 victory over the Colts.

We will know more about Kincaid’s status based on his practice status as the week begins. Buffalo is already extremely shorthanded at the wide receiver spots, but Dawson Knox will be the biggest beneficiary of these available snaps if Kincaid is to miss time or be limited. Knox finished today’s game with two receptions for 40 yards.
UPDATE: 3:23 EST: Dalton Kincaid remains on the sideline but has been downgraded to doubtful to return per Bills PR.

Expect this to continue to lead to more targets for Dawson Knox as he steps into the primary tight-end role. Knox is now up to two receptions for 40 receiving yards.
UPDATE: 2:55 PM EST: Dalton Kincaid returned to the game in the second half from the knee injury. He had a brace on the injured knee.
When it rains, it pours when it comes to NFL injuries.
The Buffalo Bills’ injury concerns continue as Dalton Kincaid has been taken to the medical tent shortly before halftime of the Bills’ matchup with the Colts. Rookie Keon Coleman and Amari Cooper are both already inactive due to wrist injuries. Coleman is expected to miss the next few weeks while this will be Cooper’s second consecutive game missed.
Kincaid’s injury has officially been ruled as a knee issue and he is considered questionable to return. He also went to the locker room before the team, although there were less than two minutes until halftime.

The standout tight end had tallied two receptions for 24 yards before the injury occurred. He was also just missed on what would have been a 20+ yard walk-in touchdown but Josh Allen’s throw was just a bit out of reach.
Expect Dawson Knox to elevate to the top tight end while Kincaid is sidelined. Knox has already added a 34-yard reception on the day at the time of the injury. There will also be more pressure on Khalil Shakir as he operates as the most stable pass catcher on the roster. He has been limited to two catches for 13 yards thus far in the game.
We’ll provide more updates here on Kincaid as the team releases them.
