Fantasy Football QB-WR Stacks: Top DFS Quarterback-Wide Receiver Picks for Week 8

Fantasy Football QB-WR Stacks: Top DFS Quarterback-Wide Receiver Picks for Week 8

Updated:

By: Ciaran Doyle

The Ravens and Cardinals rounded out Week 7 with wins on Monday night, and now our attention shifts to Week 8 of the 2024 NFL season. DraftKings has yet another millionaire contest this week, with 13 games on Sunday’s main slate. A great QB/WR stack can make all the difference, as doubling up your points on passing yards and touchdowns can make or break your lineup. Below are my four favorite QB/WR duos for Week 8’s main slate.

4. Kirk Cousins ($6,200)/ Drake London ($7,200), Falcons at Buccaneers

This is a great matchup this week for these two, with the Buccaneers giving up the second-most FPTS to opposing quarterbacks and the fifth-most to opposing receivers. London has flown under the radar this year, but only two receivers have more DraftKings FPTS this season (Ja’Marr Chase and Chris Godwin). He is currently seventh in the NFL in receiving yards and has the third most targets. London is also tied for third in receiving touchdowns with five.

All the ingredients are here for the Falcons to have a big day offensively. Tampa Bay is 29th in the league against the pass, while Kirk Cousins is 4th in the league in passing yards. These teams matched up just a few weeks ago, and Cousins threw for 509 yards and four touchdowns. London finished the game with 12 catches for 154 yards and a touchdown. If these two can get anywhere close to those numbers again on Sunday, they could be crucial to have in your lineup.

3. Jayden Daniels ($7,300)/ Terry McLaurin ($6,900), Bears at Commanders

This all depends on the health of Jayden Daniels (ribs), as his status for Sunday is still up in the air. Before leaving the game through injury on Sunday, Daniels had already recorded 50 rushing yards in just the first few plays. When healthy, he can be the difference maker in your lineup.

Terry McLaurin continues to prove how good of a receiver he is, still finishing with 98 yards despite catching passes from the backup quarterback. Daniels is fifth among all QBs on DraftKings, while McLaurin comes in at 11th among receivers. McLaurin and Daniels have connected for four touchdowns already this season, so if they could connect for a few more on Sunday, this duo could put up great fantasy numbers.

2. Jalen Hurts ($7,500)/ A.J. Brown ($8,200), Eagles at Bengals

A.J. Brown has only played in three games so far this season, but he’s been a great addition to lineups when healthy. Not only has he scored a touchdown in each of his first three games this season, but he has also caught at least five balls for 89 yards in each game. He is currently second in the NFL in receiving yards per game (108) and will be facing a Bengals secondary that ranks 21st against the pass.

Brown and Hurts will pose a huge threat for the Bengals on Sunday, and I think they will have a big day. Hurts in 9th in DraftKings fantasy scoring among quarterbacks, and has a friendly matchup this week as the Bengals give up the fifth most FPTS to opposing quarterbacks. I think Hurts and Brown could easily connect for over 100 yards and a touchdown this Sunday.

1. Joe Burrow ($7,000)/Ja’Marr Chase ($8,500), Eagles at Bengals

Ja’Marr Chase is the highest-priced receiver on this weekend’s main slate, and for good reason. He has become a staple of this article for the past month, so why stop now? He has 144.1 FPTS this season on DraftKings, which ranks most among receivers. The Eagles give up the 10th most FPTS to opposing receivers, so Chase should be in line for another great day. He has at least 55 receiving yards in each of his last five games and has six touchdown grabs over that period.

Chase leads the league in receiving yards, and his six touchdowns are tied for most in the league. He is clearly the best receiver in football right now, and you need him and Burrow in your lineups every week. Despite not being a dual-threat quarterback, Burrow still is third among quarterbacks in FPTS this season.
