Michael Wilson ($7,600 for Showdown) was limited in practice this week with an ankle injury, but the wideout has avoided the Cardinals’ injury report and will play Monday night vs. the Chargers. Wilson has cemented himself as Arizona’s No. 2 receiver this season and he has scored double-digit FPTS in three of his last four games in this role. This season, Wilson has handled a solid 17.7% target share while running a route on a team-high 89% of his team’s dropbacks. Notably, the receiver has garnered six targets over 20 yards and four red-zone targets in his first six games.
This Los Angeles defense Wilson is facing Monday night has been a strong group overall – it is the 10th-highest graded defense on PFF – but this is still an appealing spot for the receiver. This season, the Chargers have used zone coverage at the third-highest clip in the league. Wilson has been productive against this type of coverage this season, with 18 of his 21 receptions, 93% of his receiving yards and both of his touchdowns coming against zone coverage.
In this spot, Wilson is a rock solid WR3/FLEX play for season-long leagues. Furthermore, the 24-year-old is appealing for Monday’s Showdown slate and is a strong bet to exceed his 30.5-receiving yard line on the DraftKings Sportsbook, which is a number Wilson has topped in four of his last five games.
