NFL Week 7 Tight End Player Prop Bets for George Kittle, Brock Bowers and David Njoku

Seven weeks of the NFL has brought us several surprises –– some good, some bad, and some downright disappointing. Let’s do our best to find the good this week. Here are three tight end props to consider on DraftKings Sportsbook that you should expect to be in that ‘good’ category on Sunday.

Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers

George Kittle Over 51.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

I promise the other picks aren’t as obvious as this one, but I can’t resist. Kittle finished last season as the only tight end with over 1,000 receiving yards and he continues to dominate this season –– with the third-most targets, second-most receptions on an 80% catch rate and the fourth-most yards of all tight ends in the league. There are certainly a lot of mouths to feed in San Fran when this roster is healthy but receivers Jauan Jennings and Deebo Samuel are both questionable heading into the game. Running back Jordan Mason was also limited in practice this week and is listed as questionable. Kittle saw 18 targets over the last two weeks with a range of injuries on the team –– finishing with 58 and 64 yards and three touchdowns in those two games. It’s a great spot for him to shine against a Chiefs defense that is allowing the highest production to tight ends –– almost 60% more than the league-average.

Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Rams

Brock Bowers Over 62.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Not even Tom Brady as an owner can save this Raiders team. That being said, a silver lining is us getting to watch Brock Bowers pad his stat sheet. Now the NFL leader among tight ends in targets, receptions and yards –– Bowers has benefited greatly with the absence of Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers. Adams is certainly not coming back –– as he left in a trade to the Jets –– and Meyers remained sidelined this week at practice with an ankle injury and likely won’t play. Without those two, Bowers saw his targets quadruple –– with back-to-back games of double-digit targets and 168 total yards. I always call tight ends the safety blanket for an underperforming quarterback and Bowers has been that since the first two weeks of the season when he led the team with eight targets in Week 1 and was second behind Davante Adams in Week 2, with nine targets. Now, he’s seeing even more as the most reliable weapon in the passing game.

Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns

David Njoku Over 4.5 Receptions (+108)

We’re taking advantage of another transaction from the past week with the Browns trading away their top receiver, Amari Cooper to the Bills. Sure, he was averaging a career-low 41.6 yards a game because Deshaun Watson seemingly forgot how to do everything that made him a top quarterback in the league a few years ago, but they still have the second-highest pass-rate ratio in the NFL. As a result, the volume of passes –– regardless of the quality –– is there and Cooper’s departure should benefit Njoku greatly. Jerry Jeudy should benefit too, but he has had back-to-back games with just one reception on six combined targets, and that’s the type of play I just can’t get behind. Njoku did have a slow start coming back in Week 5 from his ankle injury but last week, he had his first full game and led the team with five receptions on seven targets. Expect more of that. If this doesn’t cash, I promise we will stop betting on the Browns.
