If you do not already have Brian Thomas Jr. on your team, now might be the time to buy low after his three-catch, 27-yard performance against the Bears in London. Despite that, he is still ninth in the league and receiving yards and is 14th in fantasy scoring on DraftKings.
Thomas Jr. is an elite WR2 and I believe he will continue to do so for the season of the season. Why you may ask? Well, even though the Jaguars are bad, they love to throw the football. Trevor Lawrence is 11th in the league in pass attempts, and Thomas Jr. is his number-one target. He leads the team in targets, catches and receiving touchdowns.
The biggest thing you want from your WR2 is consistency, and that’s what you get with Thomas Jr. as he has produced double-digit fantasy points in four of his first six games. It’s important to keep in mind that he is a rookie, so there will be some bumps in the road. I think we are in for more good than bad from Thomas Jr., and he will only improve as he gains more experience.
The Jaguars face the Patriots in London this week, and in the NFL $350K Showdown Special [$100K to 1st] (NE vs JAX) showdown contest, Brian Thomas Jr. ($14,100) is the third highest-priced player in the game behind Trevor Lawrence ($15,900) and Drake Maye ($15,600). I could easily see both quarterbacks struggling in this one, and wouldn’t be shocked if Thomas Jr. turned out to be the perfect Captain pick for your DraftKings lineup and perform well after a disappointing performance last week.
