NFL Week 7 Confidence Picks
High Confidence
Bills over Titans – The Bills picked up a big win over the Jets last week and should carry that momentum into this game. The Titans’ offense has really struggled to get anything going and Josh Allen should simply do too much for Will Levis to keep up with.
Rams over Raiders – The Rams have had a tough season due to injuries and other factors, but they just had a bye week. This is the perfect matchup for them to get back on track. Three of their four losses have been very tight games and they are due for a breakthrough.
Bengals over Browns – The Browns’ offense is totally lost at the moment. The return of Nick Chubb should give them a bit of a boost but DeShaun Watson is the worst QB in the league at the moment and they just lost their WR1, Amari Cooper. The Bengals’ offense has played well this season and should be able to outscore the Browns.
Jaguars over Patriots – The Jaguars have a massive advantage playing in London for the second straight week and eliminating the travel and body clock adjustment that the Patriots need to do. Drake Maye is making just his second career start and everything that comes with the London game is really tough for someone with such little experience. The Jaguars should find a way to win this one.
Commanders over Panthers – The Commanders lost to a really good Ravens team last week but this is the perfect game for them to get back on track. The Panthers have issues at almost every position on the field and Jayden Daniels should be able to run wild on their defense.
Packers over Texans – The Packers’ offense is on fire and they are always tough to beat at home. Despite being 5-1, the Texans have been unconvincing in some of their wins this season. Jordan Love should have a big game against this secondary and the Green Bay crowd and weather could bother CJ Stroud.
Medium Confidence
Eagles over Giants – The Giants lost their LT Andrew Thomas to an injury and that is a massive blow to this team. Daniel Jones should get pressured in this game and that is when he makes mistakes. The Eagles should just have too much offense for New York.
Colts over Dolphins – The Dolphins have struggled to get anything going on offense since Tua Tagovailoa went down with his injury. The Colts have been shaky and alternated quarterbacks but at home, they should be able to pick up a win.
Jets over Steelers – The Jets added Davante Adams to the mix and now have an elite group of skill position players. The Steelers are switching to Russell Wilson at quarterback and that is the wrong move against the Jets. The Jets’ secondary has been great this year but they have struggled against the run so Justin Fields seems to be the better choice as the much more mobile QB. The Jets have had a lot of bad breaks over the past three weeks but they should finally get back on track here.
49ers over Chiefs – The Chiefs’ offense is totally depleted at the moment, while the 49ers are finally getting healthy on offense. The Chiefs’ undefeated season has been very unconvincing and they should pick up their first loss here against San Francisco.
Ravens over Bucs – The Ravens are the hottest team in the league at the moment and while the Bucs’ offense is playing well, Lamar Jackson should shred the Tampa Bay secondary. The Bucs have a lot of issues on defense and the Ravens will be able to run on them and throw against them.
Coin-Flip Games
Cardinals over Chargers – Kyler Murray has had a good season so far but the Cardinals haven’t been able to piece great performances together. The Chargers’ offense hasn’t been very explosive this year and that makes them liable to be upset on any given week. This is a great opportunity for the Cardinals to steal one at home on Monday Night Football.
Seahawks over Falcons – The Seahawks have extended rest after playing on Thursday night last week. They needed some time to reset after a bad run of games but this is a good team and they should bounce back in this spot. The Seahawks’ weapons should be able to get loose against the Atlanta secondary and if Geno Smith plays smart, they will win this game.
Broncos over Saints – This is an ugly TNF matchup but the Saints’ offense is too depleted. They are on their backup QB and missing their top two receivers due to injuries. The Broncos’ defense is the best unit between these teams and they should be able to shut down the Saints’ offense.
Lions over Vikings – The Vikings have been one of the best teams in the league this year but this could be the spot where they suffer their first loss. The Lions’ offense is on fire and Jared Goff should play well indoors in Minnesota. The Lions’ defense will be missing Aidan Hutchinson, but they have a lot of other good pieces and should be able to rattle Sam Darnold enough to force a couple of key mistakes.
