NFL Best Bets: Bengals at Giants Best Prop Bets on Sunday Night Football

Updated:

By: Sean Barnard

Week 6 of the NFL season is off, and we are one-third of the way through the 2024 season. Just one week removed from the longest day of football in NFL history, the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Giants will square off on Sunday night.

The Bengals are still attempting to turn things around from their slow start to the season. They enter with a 1-4 record and will face off with a 2-3 Giants team that just defeated the Seahawks last week.

The Bengals enter the matchup as 3.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook. New York is +150 on the moneyline while the game total is 46 points. Here are four player props I like for the primetime thriller.

Wan’Dale Robinson Over 55.5 Receiving Yards (-115 Odds)

The Giants are set to be without rookie sensation Malik Nabers as he misses his second consecutive week with a concussion. New York’s offense did not miss a beat without him last week, generating 420 yards of offense and 29 points. It will look to continue this effort against a Bengals defense that ranks 31st in points allowed and 26th in yards given up this season.

Look directly toward Wan’Dale Robinson as the player who will step up without Nabers. Robinson has had plenty of production with and without Nabers this season. He is tied for fifth in the NFL in targets with 47 passes thrown his way. The 23-year-old has tallied 32 receptions, tied for fourth in the NFL, which he has taken for 230 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

While he was held to just 36 reception yards last week without Nabers, he was targeted nine times. Robinson recorded 71 receiving yards the week before and 61 yards through the air in Week 3. Daniel Jones has quietly played better as of late and has had just one interception in the past four weeks. Expect him to lean on Robinson heavily and for Robinson to have no problem eclipsing 56+ yards through the air for the third time in the past four weeks.

Chase Brown Over 60.5 Rush & Receiving Yards (-115 Odds)

While Zack Moss has served as the starting running back for the Bengals, it has been Chase Brown who has emerged as the most effective in the early weeks. Through the first five games of the season, Moss has carried the ball 57 times, which he has taken for 211 yards and a pair of touchdowns while adding 15 receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown. In contrast, Brown has carried the ball 41 times this season, which he has taken for 230 yards and two touchdowns. He has only recorded 10 receptions for 39 yards.

Both running backs have battled some injuries leading up to this matchup but are expected to suit up. Brown has gradually seen more added to his plate and has combined for 27 carries across the past two weeks. He had his best performance in Week 4 against the Panthers when Brown rushed for 80 yards on the ground while adding 12 receiving yards.

Heading into this matchup, expect the split of backfield opportunities to continue shifting in favor of Brown. He has flashed some explosiveness and has more big-play potential than Moss. While things have not clicked in the passing game just yet, don’t expect Cincinnati to fully give up on this. This game offers a chance to be a breakout performance for Brown against New York, so feel confident about him eclipsing 60.5 combined yards.

Daniel Jones Over 212.5 Passing Yards (-115 Odds)

Don’t look now but Daniel Jones has quietly played some solid football over the past few weeks. The former sixth overall pick has thrown for over 212.5 yards in the past three games and has done a much better job limiting his turnovers. On the season overall he has thrown for six touchdowns to just three interceptions.

The Bengals provide a great chance for this trend to continue as they have struggled greatly to slow down opponents’ passing attacks. On the season as a whole, they rank 31st in points allowed, 26th in yards allowed, 28th in passing touchdowns allowed, 30th in first downs given up and 24th in net yards per pass attempt. Just last week they allowed 520 total yards of offense and 345 passing yards to Lamar Jackson.

Expect Jones to continue building off this level of production and throw for over 212.5 yards for the fourth consecutive week. Cincinnati’s defense has struggled and the recent play from Jones is encouraging. Even if his turnover demons show face, Jones is a guy who will go down swinging so feel confident about the passing yards being the direction to bet this.

Andrei Iosivas Anytime TD (+400 Odds)

The Bengals have a high-flying offense with plenty of mouths to feed. So far this year they rank fourth in scoring and ninth in yards. Joe Burrow leads the NFL with 12 passing touchdowns and will face a New York defense that ranks 18th in passing touchdowns allowed.

There have been five different wide receivers to record a touchdown reception for the Bengals so far this season. Ja’Marr Chase leads the team with five touchdowns, Tee Higgins has added two touchdowns and Zack Moss and Chase Brown have each recorded a receiving touchdown. However, Andrei Iosivas has quietly emerged as a red-zone threat, ranking second on the team with three touchdown receptions this year.

The Princeton product stands 6-foot-3 with a massive catch radius. He initially stepped up due to injuries to the pass catchers in front of him, but Iosivas has grown into a key part of the Bengals’ offense. Burrow seems to have gained trust in the 24-year-old with him having some opportunities for tough catches. He has logged at least 76% of offensive snaps in each game this season. Expect the Bengals to have plenty of offensive production in this game and make several trips to the end zone. Iosivas will be involved in these attempts and getting +400 value for an anytime touchdown is worth a swing.
