Rashod Bateman is coming off a season-high in targets, receptions, and yards last week against the Bengals. The Ravens pass-catcher has registered at least one reception in each game. He’s currently the 54th-best wide receiver on the season based on DraftKings scoring. Despite this, he is only rostered in roughly 5.5% of fantasy leagues.
Heading into Week 6 of the NFL season, Rashod Bateman should be a popular waiver wire addition. Injuries and bye weeks have begun to set in for the 2024 season.

Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson headline the Ravens offense, but there is plenty of production to go around. Overall, Baltimore ranks 2nd in scoring on the year and has tallied the most yards in the league. The Ravens headline just about all rushing metrics, but also rank 9th in passing yards and 5th in passing touchdowns.
While Zay Flowers headlines the pecking order of wide receivers, Rashod Bateman is not far behind. So far this season, Flowers has been targeted 39 times; he has recorded 24 receptions for 269 yards and a touchdown. Through the first five weeks of the season, Bateman has been targeted 22 times, which he has turned into 13 receptions for 202 yards and two touchdowns on the year.
While he will not be an every-week starter, there is a worthy place for Rashod Bateman on fantasy football rosters. He has logged at least 62% of offensive snaps in every game and has recorded as high as 84% of snaps.
Expect Bateman to remain a part of the Ravens offense moving forward. He is a talented pass-catcher with enough opportunity in front of him. Get ahead of this and add him before he becomes a more popular addition. Bateman is a capable option to fill a WR2 or flex role that could come into play in the coming weeks.
