1. Chris Buescher ($9,100) — Blue-collar Buescher has gone bye-bye. He broke through and got the win at Watkins Glen. He’s no longer the delivery driver — the no-flash, consistent master of the road route is delivering consistent top-10 finishes. His median finish at road courses in 2024 is the best in the Cup Series.
2. Ross Chastain ($8,800) — Trackhouse Racing loves the road courses. Former road ringer Justin Marks is a team owner. Chastain has the second-best median finish in the four 2024 road races — top 10s at COTA, Sonoma and Watkins Glen.
3. Shane Van Gisbergen ($10,300) — SVG is the real deal. He won the Cup Series race in the streets of Chicago last season. He’s tearing up the road courses in the Xfinity Series this season. The 2024 Watkins Glen race was nearly another Cup Series road win.
4. A.J. Allmendinger ($10,000) — No one knows The Roval like The Dinger knows The Roval. Allmendinger has four Xfinity Series wins and one Cup Series win at Charlotte’s infield road course.
5. Michael McDowell ($8,700) — Mike Mac is back. The underdog road racer for Front Row Motorsports was the runner-up at COTA and finished fifth and seventh at Chicago and Watkins Glen.

6. Tyler Reddick ($9,300) — His hot road streak from 2022 to 2023 is becoming small in the rearview mirror. Reddick’s last road win was the road racing season opener at COTA in 2023. He hasn’t lost his touch, though. Reddick has six top 10s at road courses since his COTA win.
7. Christopher Bell ($9,000) — His name was made on dirt. He became a household name on asphalt ovals. His name’s the same on the crooked routes. Bell turns right with the best of them. He’s won road courses in the Xfinity Series and the Cup Series.
8. Alex Bowman ($8,100) — His Chicago Street Circuit win can be dismissed, but don’t dismiss Bowman’s road-racing skills. Bowman has the third-best road course finish going back to 2018.
9. Kyle Busch ($8,300) — This is it. This is Busch’s last chance to win and continue his legendary streak. Wasn’t Talladega his last chance? Busch scored four top-five finishes in the 2023 road races and three finishes of 12th or better this season.
10. Chase Elliott ($9,500) — What happened? Elliott was destined to be the best road racer ever. Elliott has one top-five finish and three outside of the top 15 at the road courses this season.
11. Kyle Larson ($10,200) — Sonoma was Larson’s second road course win in the Gen-7 car. Although he has finished outside of the top 15 in two of four road races, Larson is still tied for the sixth-most top-15 finishes at a road course in the Gen-7 car.
12. William Byron ($9,800) — After years of knocking on the door, Byron got his first course win this season at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Hendrick Motorsports has the best road course cars and stable of road course drivers.
13. Ty Gibbs ($8,500) — The young drivers grew up road racing. The vets stuck to ovals. The young drivers began their careers with the Roval event. The vets did not. The playing field is even and may even lean toward Gibbs this weekend.
14. Zane Smith ($5,800) — The Spire Motorsports rookie has a top-20 finish in each road course race in 2024. Smith won the 2023 COTA Craftsman Truck Series race.
15. Bubba Wallace ($6,300) — Is Bubba a good road racer? Does it matter? His average finish is 16th and his worst finish is 20th at the road courses in 2024. That works at this price. Wallace earned a top-20 finish in four of the six road races in 2023.
