It’s another Monday Night Football doubleheader! The Miami Dolphins host the Tennessee Titans at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions follow with an 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. Tyreek Hill Anytime TD Scorer +175
Will Levis is still figuring it out. It’s not going so well. Snoop Huntley is starting at QB. The time table for Tua’s return is murky. Thompson figures to put up figures in the meantime. Neither of these quarterbacks instill confidence. The spread could go either way. It will likely come down to one play. Picking the spread is not the play to make. If this is a one-play game, play the one-play playmaker.
“Tyreek the Freak” can do his thing. The Titans have allowed three receiving touchdowns in the last two games. All three were to running backs. Hill is a versatile receiver that can work downfield and at the line of scrimmage. Look for Mike McDaniel to deploy Tyreek Hill in unique ways to get crucial points on the scoreboard.
Detroit Lions -4.5 (-108)
This line is too small. The Seahawks are getting too much respect and the Lions aren’t getting enough. It’s popular to dismiss Seattle as frauds. They’re a fake 3-0 team. Their wins aren’t impressive. The Seahawks can’t control their schedule. They played the games. They won the games. But wins over the Broncos, Patriots and Tua-less Dolphins are soft. The Lions aren’t soft. They’re as hard as it gets. The city of Detroit is as hard as it gets.
Dan Campbell is hard. He’s a football coach. He looks like he’s out of central casting. Every fan wants Campbell to coach their team. He’s hard and his team plays hard. Even when the Lions weren’t winning several seasons ago, they were routinely covering. Campbell’s teams don’t quit. His Lions are 18-4 (82%) against the spread when facing teams off a win. They’re even better at home — 21-9 against the spread in the last 30 home games (excluding hefty lines). The Seahawks aren’t going to remain undefeated for long.
