Parlay: Liverpool + Brighton Moneyline (-147)

Sometimes, there’s no need to overthink things. That’s exactly the case with this parlay.

I’m targeting two teams in truly elite form heading into Matchday 4 that just so happen to be heavy favorites in their respective matchups.

Let’s start with Liverpool. The Reds have been absolutely brilliant under Arne Slot, manufacturing similar offensive production while offering far fewer defensive breakdowns thanks to his modified press. Through three games, Liverpool are the only club in the Premier League who haven’t conceded. I expect that trend to continue against an inferior Nottingham Forest side this weekend. The Reds kept a pair of clean sheets against Forest last season, and at the very least they should emerge from this match victorious.

Moving onto the second leg of this parlay, Brighton have earned their third-place spot in the table thanks to wins over Everton and United, along with an impressive draw against Arsenal. The Seagulls face Ipswich, who have struggled mightily to create offensive chances in their return to the Prem. I expect Brighton to keep the momentum rolling and cruise to another win.

Same Game Parlay: Erling Haaland Anytime Goalscorer & Over 2.5 Goals (-150)

Surprise, surprise. Another Manchester City Same Game Parlay.

I apologize for sounding like a broken record with these City SGPs, but until one of them fails to hit, there’s no reason to go away from this strategy.

By “this strategy”, I mean combining goalscoring machine Erling Haaland with an over. Said tactic has worked in all three of City’s matches so far, and we’re still getting respectable odds at -150 this time around. Now, it is worth noting that Haaland may miss this match due to compassionate leave if the striker requests it. However, if he suits up, I expect the Norwegian to terrorize Brentford’s back line.

Haaland already boasts a sizable lead in the Golden Boot race with seven goals through three matches. The Bees actually held him scoreless in their first two head-to-heads, but he broke through in their last meeting. Considering his current form, I fully expect him to find the back of the net at least once on Saturday.

Speaking of finding the back of the net, that needs to happen at least three times for the second leg of this SGP to hit. That shouldn’t be a problem for Man City, as they’ve scored nine times through three contests. Pep Guardiola’s squad has actually gotten a little sloppy and conceded early in back-to-back matches too, which could be beneficial for this particular parlay.

Jeff’s Favorite Anytime Goalscorers for Matchday 4

  • Mohamed Salah vs. Nottingham Forest (-135)
  • Alexander Isak at Wolves (+100)
  • Ollie Watkins vs. Everton (+125)

Those are my Premier League best bets for Matchday 4! Stay tuned for more picks next week.
