The Jets look to make it a perfect weekend for the AFC East when they travel across the country to square off with the 49ers.
Whether it’s a triumphant Aaron Rodgers homecoming or Kyle Shanahan’s group continuing their regular-season dominance, it’s crucial to have DFS players who will surpass their assigned salaries. I’ve done the homework and zeroed in on three guys ready to crush expectations.

Monday Night Football Value Plays
Jauan Jennings ($6,000)
With Brandon Aiyuk ($12,600) on a play count after missing most of the offseason seeking a new contract, Brock Purdy will be searching for a new top target Monday night. Deebo Samuel should assume most of the attention from the talented New York secondary, which means fourth-year pro Jauan Jennings could see an uptick in production.
The last time the 27-year-old was on the field, he became only the second person in NFL history to throw and catch a touchdown in the Super Bowl. He’s never amassed more than 35 catches in a season but is effective in his limited snaps. A built 6’3, his tight end build makes him a matchup nightmare for smaller corners.
Even though he can be clunky coming out of his breaks, Jennings is physically gifted enough to have a great showing when called upon. Oh, and he also has the GOAT’s seal of approval.
Jordan Mason ($4,500)
Christian McCaffrey ($17,400) also missed a majority of training camp, but in his case, it was due to a pair of lingering lower leg injuries. Despite the franchise superstar insisting he expects his full workload, I’m not sure giving him that burden in the first week of the season makes sense.
With Elijah Mitchell out for the year, Jordan Mason elevates to the primary backup in the backfield. The special teams ace allegedly had an impressive offseason, with the buzz around the organization suggesting the Georgia Tech product would be second on the depth chart regardless of Mitchell’s health.
Mason’s volume might be slim, but the potential for an expanded role is evident. At his current price tag, he is intriguing enough to take the risk.
Allen Lazard ($3,000)
It’s no secret Aaron Rodgers ($13,500) loves to play with his friends. I’m surprised Jordy Nelson, who is still on the right side of 40, hasn’t had a workout in the Big Apple yet.
Allen Lazard was part of the Green Bay to New York exodus last summer, but without his signal-caller, he languished in a broken offense. In his last full season with competent quarterback play, the veteran wideout had a productive campaign with 788 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
He’s technically sound and provides a familiar security blanket underneath. San Francisco’s elite run defense will try to neutralize Breece Hall ($15,300), which could force offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett to want to air it out. I like Lazard to leave his imprint on the contest.
