Puka Nacua ($9,800 Showdown; 8.2 FPTS) dealt with a knee injury over the offseason, but was finally able to get right for the Week 1 game in Detroit.
And things were going swimmingly, as he rushed once for seven yards and caught all four targets for 35 yards on 15 routes run. Unfortunately, in the second quarter, Nacua injured his knee after diving for a ball. There was not a defender close to him, so the injury wasn’t the result of a tackle. It seemed to occur when he went down to catch the ball off the turf.
In the $1.5M Sunday Night Showdown tournament, Nacua is rostered on 10.7% as CPT and 53% as a FLEX.
Without Nacua in the mix, Cooper Kupp ($9,600) will likely get peppered with target after target for the remainder of the game.
