The 2024/25 Premier League season kicks off this Friday, which means it’s time for some final table predictions!
In this article, I’ll break down how I expect the standings to play out for all 20 teams, along with relevant DraftKings Sportsbook odds for each squad near the top half of the table.
Without further ado, let’s get into it.

20. Leicester City
Fresh off a title in the Championship, it appears Leicester will face an immediate uphill battle to remain in England’s top division. The Foxes are reportedly set to receive a point deduction for breaching PSR rules. If it’s anything above six points, that could prove to be fatal for a squad that didn’t make any major noise in the summer transfer window.
19. Ipswich Town
Just like the reigning Championship winners, I expect Ipswich to go right back down after being promoted to the Prem for the first time in over 20 years. While the club does feature one of England’s rising young managers in Kieran McKenna, the lights may be too bright in their first year back on the big stage in a while.
18. Southampton
Surprise, surprise. We’re three-for-three with recently promoted teams going back down.
Southampton bolstered their squad with 15 (!!!) new signings, but it still likely won’t be enough to stay up after a fourth-place finish in the Championship last year.
17. Nottingham Forest
Nuno Espírito Santo had his first full offseason to work with his squad after replacing Steve Cooper in December of 2023. The experienced manager should do enough to secure Forest another stay in the Premier League, but I’m not expecting anything special.
16. Brentford
Let’s be honest, the Bees have stayed in England’s top division for longer than 95% of their own supporters expected.
I believe that will be the case once again this year, especially if the addition of Igor Thiago proves to be as effective as many Brentford fans are hoping. That said, I don’t believe they’ll recapture any of the magic that allowed for a ninth-place finish in 2023-23. Somewhere between No. 15 and 17 feels right, which is where I have them landing.
15. Bournemouth
A 12th-place finish in 2023/24 has Bournemouth entering this season with a little bit of momentum, although it’s worth noting that just three points separated the 10th and 14th ranked squads at the conclusion of last season. Keeping the ball out of the back of their own net has been a consistent issue for the Cherries. I don’t expect that to change this year, but they should be productive enough offensively to avoid relegation.
14. Everton
In their last season at the historic Goodison Park, I expect Everton to produce their highest finish since the 2020-21 campaign.
There’s been some noise that yet another deduction could be coming for the Toffees, and if that comes to fruition I could see them dropping as far as 16th. However, as things currently stand I believe a top 15 finish is in the cards for Everton despite the loss of Amadou Onana.
13. Wolves
Wolves are banking on their $27 million investment in Pedro Lima and Rodrigo Gomes wreaking havoc for opponents in their first respective Premier League campaigns.
Whether that will be enough to make up for the massive loss of stud defender Maximilian Kilman is yet to be seen, but the Wanderers have a safe enough floor after proving themselves capable in the highest tier of English football.
Wolves to finish Top 10: +400
12. Fulham
The Cottagers bolstered their squad with the arrival of Emile Smith-Rowe, Ryan Sessegnon and Jorge Cuenca, three players with experience at successful clubs in England and Spain. Marco Silva has been a steadying presence on the sidelines, and while their upside is relatively capped, there’s a safe floor with this side.
Fulham to finish Top 10: +300
11. Brighton
Despite making two solid transfer additions in Mats Wieffer and Yankuba Minteh, the Seagulls don’t feel as enticing as other 23/24 mid-table squads regarding a potential jump into the top 10. It’s certainly possible, but the loss of manager Roberto De Zerbi will sting. Another respectable showing is in the cards for this squad, but nothing spectacular.
Brighton to finish Top 10: -110
10. West Ham
Multiple significant signings headlined West Ham’s transfer window, as they added Niclas Füllkrug, Maximilian Kilman, Luis Guilherme and Crysencio Summerville. While a higher finish could certainly be feasible for the Hammers, I’m opting for a conservative 10-place prediction under new boss Julen Lopetegui.
West Ham to finish Top 10: -125
9. Crystal Palace
Palace ended the 23/24 campaign on absolute fire once Oliver Glasner took over in February. The Eagles were sitting in a demoralizing 16th place when Glasner replaced Roy Hodgson, but they climbed all the way up to 10th thanks to a stellar final few months. Losing Michael Olise will hurt quite a bit, but I expect Palace to remain inspired and push for another top 10 finish.
Crystal Palace to finish Top 10: -125 | Top 6: +1000
8. Chelsea
The most chaotic club in England remains the most chaotic club in England.
Shocker.
From an odds perspective, ranking them this low is technically a surprise, but nothing I’ve seen from the Blues lately suggests they’re capable of truly turning things around after a tumultuous few years. You can’t put too much stock into preseason results, but their defense has looked shaky at best. Chelsea remain immensely talented, but I need to see consistently positive results to believe it.
Chelsea to finish Top 6: -230 | Top 4: +140
7. Manchester United
Really, who knows when it comes to United?
The Red Devils stressed continuity with their decision to retain Erik Ten Hag — which I believe was the right call —— also adding exciting young CB Leny Yoro and forward Joshua Zirkee. It all comes down to the development of the young guys. Can Kobbie Mainoo, Aleejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Højlund take the next step? Will Marcus Rashford find his form again?
If the answers to most of those questions are yes, United could push for a top-four finish. If the answers are no, it’s going to be another long year.
Manchester United to finish Top 6: -185 | Top 4: +200
6. Aston Villa
Unai Emery led his squad back to the Champions League last year for the first time since the 1980s, and they backed up that campaign with a spending spree this summer. Douglas Luiz and Moussa Diaby departed, but the additions of left back Ian Maatsen and CDM Amadou Onana will certainly help soften those blows. I expect another strong effort from Villa this time around.
Aston Villa to finish Top 6: +135 | Top 4: +300
5. Newcastle
Eddie Howe’s men fell off down the stretch last year, as the toll of competing in both the Prem and Champions League proved to be too much for their bodies to handle.
I’m sure fans won’t be ecstatic about their club missing out on the biggest tournament in football this year, but it could end up being a good thing. With more opportunities to rest and their eyes solely on one prize, I’m expecting a stronger 24/25 Premier League campaign this year.
Newcastle to finish Top 6: -155 | Top 4: +200
4. Tottenham
Many expected the Spurs to struggle mightily following the departure of club legend Harry Kane, but they actually rose from an eighth-place finish in the prior year to fifth in 23/24. This season, I expect another bump, even with the added task of competing in the Europa League. The additions of Timo Werner and Archie Gray should bolster an already formidable side.
Tottenham to finish Top 4: +200 | Top 2: +1000
3. Liverpool
The departure of Jürgen Klopp is a truly devastating blow to Liverpool’s title chances, as I believe he’s the only manager capable of going toe-to-toe with Pep Guardiola from a strategic standpoint.
That said, the Reds are still in a fantastic spot. Their roster features some of the best talent in the world, multiple young players stepped up last season and look to carry that momentum over into this campaign, and Arne Slot appears capable of steering the ship.
Liverpool almost certainly won’t win the league, but another top three finish should be in the cards.
Liverpool to finish Top 4: -200 | Top 2: +135 | To Win: +650
2. Arsenal
Arsenal have been knocking on the door for years now, but I expect them to fall one spot short of the title once again this season.
Mikel Arteta is one of the brightest minds in football, but he doesn’t seem capable of out-managing his former colleague at Manchester City. We’ve reached a point where it seems like he’ll do anything to find an edge, including hiring pickpockets to steal from his own players as an exercise…
The Gunners have a myriad of elite players at their disposal, but there remains a glaring hole at forward, as neither Kai Havertz nor Gabriel Jesus can fill the role of a legitimate star No. 9. Arsenal’s time may be coming… but it’s not here yet.
Arsenal to finish Top 2: -230 | To Win: +170
1. Manchester City
Five. Straight. Titles.
A decade ago, the thought of a club achieving such a feat seemed impossible. Flash forward to present day, and City are on the doorstep of accomplishing the unthinkable.
With all due respect to the legends that came before him, Pep Guardiola is almost certainly the greatest manager of all time. Another Premier League title this year would surely put any doubts to rest. The Spaniard has maintained a stranglehold on England’s top division for four years, and he has the best roster in the league to work with again this time around.
Add in the possibility that this could be Pep’s final year at the club, and it’s a guarantee that his guys will show up every single match for him.
Their reign may be coming to an end over the next couple years, but for the time being, City remain inevitable.
Manchester City To Win The Premier League: +130
