The Baltimore Ravens will take on the Los Angeles Chargers for Week 12’s edition of Sunday Night Football. The Ravens offense will need someone to step up as tight end Mark Andrews is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season with an injury. Rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers was going to see his role expand, but he is dealing with a hip injury.

Zay Flowers injury updates

Friday update: Flowers is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game. He was asked on Friday about it and said that he is fully expecting to play.

Friday update: The Ravens are having a lighter walk-through practice on Friday. Flowers is not included on a list of players not practicing today, per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. We will get his official practice status later today, along with any injury status heading into the weekend.

Thursday update: Flowers was downgraded to not practicing on Thursday. This is bad news for the wide receiver, who is trending in the wrong direction to play this weekend, barring a turnaround on Friday.

Wednesday update: Flowers was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday and is dealing with a hip injury.

Fantasy football analysis

Flowers has taken over as quarterback Lamar Jackson’s WR1. He has played in 11 games and has 588 yards and a touchdown on 53 receptions. Flowers enters the week as the overall WR37 in half-PPR scoring. If he is able to play, he has a fantastic matchup against the Los Angeles defense that is allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. If Flowers plays and looks good during warm-ups, he can be started in 12-team leagues or larger. If he sits, Odell Beckham Jr. and Rashod Bateman have decent value in bigger leagues and DFS as flex plays.
