The Texas Longhorns are hosting the Mississippi State Bulldogs in an important SEC matchup. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET in Austin, Texas.

Texas is a 20.5-point favorite against Mississippi State on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Bulldogs are +850 to pull off the upset.

Texas vs. Mississippi State Player Prop Best Bets

This could be a tough game for the Mississippi State offense. Kamario Taylor is officially out for the season. Mississippi State has not shown any ability to move the ball on offense without him. In the first game without Taylor, LSU shut them out. In their most recent game, they only had seven points on the board against Oklahoma until a garbage-time touchdown in the final three minutes. It’s difficult to trust this Bulldogs offense to do anything, especially on the road against an elite Texas defense. This game could get ugly, and Texas is looking for an excuse to build confidence against an inferior opponent. This game could get ugly fast, so I’m backing two Longhorns to score touchdowns.

Arch Manning Anytime TD (+115)

Arch Manning has a great chance to find the end zone with his legs. Manning still makes far too many mistakes and has let his team down in some big games over the past couple of seasons. However, he has the talent to dominate against inferior opponents. The Mississippi State defense does not have the athletes to stop the Texas offense. The Bulldogs rank 105th in the country in defensive EPA/play. Texas should move the ball efficiently and get plenty of scoring chances.

Last week, Arch Manning got back to basics against Ole Miss. He is a great runner who can make plays with his legs. Last season, Manning rushed for 10 touchdowns, but was refusing to run this season. After back-to-back losses, it seems like Manning and Steve Sarkisian decided to make life easy on Manning and let him do what he does best. He rushed for two scores against Ole Miss last week and should rely on those legs again this week.

Ryan Wingo Anytime TD (+100)

Ryan Wingo also found the end zone last week against Ole Miss. Cam Coleman is the big name in that Texas wide receiver room, but Wingo is a unique talent that Texas uses in many ways. Coleman has also dealt with injuries this season, which has Wingo leading the team in receptions and receiving yards. Wingo can be a deep-ball threat for Arch Manning, but can also be used in the screen game and on gadget plays.

Coleman should return this week and take some of the heat off Wingo and give him more single-coverage opportunities. Wingo had a career-high 184 receiving yards against Mississippi State last season, and should have another big game against them this time around. This game should be a showcase for what the Texas offense can be, and Wingo should score at least one of those touchdowns.
