We’ve got ourselves a teeny-tiny four-game slate in the NBA this evening, but somehow, it’s still spread out across seven hours, as tonight’s contest in Los Angeles doesn’t get going until 11:00 p.m. ET.
For you night owls, let’s make a few must-start picks for your DraftKings lineups.

SF/PF Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics vs. Brooklyn Nets, $9,500
Tatum hasn’t been efficient at all so far in 2026-27, yet a 32.2% usage rate suggests that the Celtics trust his health and that he possesses the capability for a massive DFS performance if the stars align. We’ve already seen it, with Tatum registering 36 points and 64.2 FPTS in Boston’s victory over the Knicks last week. This is a great matchup, too. Even on a back-to-back, as Tatum does not carry a designation into tonight’s tilt with the winless Nets. Brooklyn ranks fifth in the league in pace (104.5) and 23rd in defensive rating (118.2). That translates to 123.7 opponent points per game — the fourth-worst mark in the NBA.
PG/SG Darius Acuff, Sacramento Kings at San Antonio Spurs, $6,900
Speaking of inefficient basketball players… Darius Acuff, ladies and gentlemen. Here’s the thing. I don’t want to say it doesn’t matter that Acuff’s missed almost 70% of the shots he’s taken to begin his NBA career, but for the purposes of DFS, all I really care about is putting a player in my lineup that has the opportunity to miss as many shots as the rookie does. Acuff comes into tonight’s slate top five in the league in usage rate (34.0%), field goal attempts per game (24.3) and touches per game (84.3). It’s a small sample, obviously, but do you know how rare it is to get an asset with that type of volume guaranteed at less that $7,000? This isn’t even a good matchup, yet if Acuff’s shooting normalizes at all on Tuesday, he’s bringing back a ton of value.
PF/C Precious Achiuwa, Sacramento Kings at San Antonio Spurs, $5,000
This level of positive ink on the Kings is making me nervous, but the simple fact of the matter is that Achiuwa is too cheap on tonight’s slate. Think about it. Sacramento is about to go up against Victor Wembanyama ($10,800) with almost no depth at center, thanks to the losses of Maxime Raynaud (knee) and Dylan Cardwell (calf). Achiuwa made his first start of the season on Sunday, and he logged nearly 39 minutes in a loss to the Grizzlies. If he can avoid foul trouble, he might be looking at a similar role on Tuesday evening of of pure necessity. The veteran is averaging a solid 0.99 FPTS per minute in 2026-27 and he’s brought back at least 5x value in every single game the Kings have played. What’s not to like?
