There are four games on Tuesday’s NBA slate, which makes building a DFS lineup a bit more challenging than usual. Fortunately, there are still plenty of ways to take attack this smaller card.

This article was written on Monday and all prices are available at the time of publishing. Be sure to follow all the NBA injury news prior to Tuesday’s slate at DK Network.

Guard

Stud

De’Aaron Fox, San Antonio Spurs vs. Sacramento Kings ($6,300)

Fox took a lot of flack for his postseason performance last season. Sure, there were some situational awareness lapses, but he dealt with ankle issues. With a full offseason to recover, Fox looks rejuvenated and has started this season on a hot streak. He’s shooting 58% from the field and 36% from downtown. Fox is also averaging a career-high 8.3 dimes, after being in the six-range the last two seasons. This type of production isn’t sustainable, but there’s a good chance it lasts for at least one more game against a Sacramento team that is 28th in defensive efficiency to start this campaign. Fox has put up 40+ FPTS in each of the last two games, so let’s back that trend to continue on Tuesday.

Other Options: Luka Doncic ($11,300), Cade Cunningham ($9,700), Austin Reaves ($7,900), Stephon Castle ($7,000), Paul George ($6,700), Damian Lillard ($6,600), Dylan Harper ($6,200)

Value

Daniss Jenkins, Detroit Pistons at New York Knicks ($4,800)

Jenkins got the start on Sunday and played 38 minutes, finishing with 39.5 FPTS. He was thrust into that role due to Ausar Thompson missing the contest due to injury. Well, Thompson is questionable for this one. If Thompson is unable to go, it seems likely that Jenkins would get the starting nod again and play a ton of minutes. If that scenario transpires again, Jenkins is too cheap for the expected role and playing time. In 75 minutes this season, Jenkins is averaging 1.14 FPTS per minute, which makes him a valuable option at this price.

Other Options: Payton Pritchard ($5,900), Jrue Holiday ($5,000), Duncan Robinson ($4,900), Ziaire Williams ($3,900)

Forward

Stud

Karl-Anthony Towns, New York Knicks vs. Detroit Pistons ($8,300)

New York has yet to win a game this season, so the Knicks should be extra motivated for this matchup against a tough Pistons team at home. Towns has been good to start the season, shooting 62% from the field and 45% from downtown. He’s put up at least 39.5 FPTS in all three contests, with a high of 49 FPTS. Towns is one of the most skilled and unique big men in the game and can fill up the stat sheet in a variety of ways. Jalen Duren is out for this one, so the matchup should be a little easier, especially since Towns has the length and weight advantage over both Paul Reed and John Collins.

Other Options: Jayson Tatum ($9,500), Deni Avdija ($7,800), Julius Randle ($7,200), Michael Porter Jr. ($7,100), Paul George ($6,700)

Value

Matisse Thybulle, Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers ($3,800)

Thybulle is out there for his defense, but he’s proven that he can make the open jumper if called upon. Through three games, he’s shooting 50% from the field and 46% from downtown. In the prior two seasons with Portland, he converted 39% and 43% from beyond the arc, so this isn’t some outlier performance. With the attention that Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves command, Thybulle will continue to get quality looks. He also racks up defensive stats, with at least a block and steal in each of the first three games. On the season, Thybulle has totaled three blocks and six steals, which resulted in 12.2, 24.8 and 23.2 FPTS.

Other Options: John Collins ($5,800), OG Anunoby ($5,700), Toumani Camara ($5,100), Precious Achiuwa ($5,000), Jrue Holiday ($5,000), Duncan Robinson ($4,900), Julian Champagnie ($4,700), Ziaire Williams ($3,900)

Center

Stud

Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento Kings at San Antonio Spurs ($9,400)

After a knee injury limited him to only 19 games last season, Sabonis looks spry to start this season. He’s the number four fantasy player on a per-game basis and has put up 50.5, 68.2 and 41.8 FPTS on averages of 18.7 points, 17.3 rebounds and seven assists. It helps matters that he’s also had success against Victor Wembanyama in the past.

Other Options: Victor Wembanyama ($10,800), Domantas Sabonis ($9,400), Karl-Anthony Towns ($8,300),

Value

Paul Reed, Detroit Pistons at New York Knicks ($5,000)

When Jalen Duren went down with an injury two games ago, Paul Reed played 26 minutes and finished with 39.8 FPTS. He got the start the next game, played 23 minutes and put up 25.5 FPTS. Duren is out for a few weeks, so Reed will likely continue starting and playing in the mid-20s. He’s always been a per-minute beast and is averaging 1.29 FPTS per minute in 65 minutes of action this season.

Other Options: John Collins ($5,800), Precious Achiuwa ($5,000)

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
