UPDATE: Flagg will not return to the game.

With 59.7 seconds left in the second quarter of Friday’s game against the Indiana Pacers, Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg appeared to suffer a shoulder injury. Flagg went up for a transition dunk after stealing the ball from Pascal Siakam but was knocked to the ground after Aaron Nesmith tried to block the attempt from behind.

Nesmith was called for a flagrant foul, and Flagg made the free throw before heading to the locker room.

Before exiting, Flagg contributed 14 points, five rebounds, six assists, three steals and a block in 17 minutes. Stay tuned to DraftKings Network for live updates on his injury status.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
