BREAK IT DOWN:
Luka Doncic 50+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-101): The popularity of this bet is two-fold. First and foremost, Luka Doncic is one of the league’s most well-known players, and he’s employed by one of the league’s most well-known teams. However, some of the volume we’re seeing on this prop can be attributed to DraftKings’ King of the Court promo running on Wednesday night, where bettors are rewarded for placing a player prop wager on the player who ultimately leads that night in total points, rebounds and assists. As you can imagine, Doncic was often crowned King of the Court in 2025-26. It’s not all that difficult to see why, either, as Doncic led the NBA in points per game (33.5), field goal attempts per game (22.8), and usage rate (38.1%).
Trae Young 10+ Assists (-137): Remember when Trae Young played five games for the Wizards last season? Yeah. Me neither. But, his career stats are telling me it happened, and that he averaged 10.7 assists per 36 minutes in that cup of coffee in Washington. Why? Because that’s what Trae Young does. He’s a dimes machine. Always has been. Always will be. So, with that context in mind, I can see why this is a highly bet prop on Wednesday evening. The Wizards played at a high pace during the preseason (104.8), while the Bucks project to be one of the league’s worst teams. There’s an obvious path to statistical success here.
Jalen Johnson Triple-Double – Yes (+427): If these odds seem a little low for a triple-double, allow me to direct your attention to last season’s triple-double leaderboard. Other than Nikola Jokic, who is a freak of nature, Johnson led the NBA in the category, posting 13 triple-doubles in his 72 starts for the Hawks. There’s no reason to assume that Johnson won’t handle a similar amount of play-making and rebounding responsibilities in 2026-27, yet this matchup does give me a little bit of pause. The Magic underwhelmed for a majority of 2025-26, yet the roster is currently healthy, and it’s easy to see how this collection of bodies could be one of the top defensive units in the Eastern Conference. Be aware.
