DraftKings NBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top Picks for 10/20/26

We are officially back today. The NBA will tip off its 2026-27 season at 3 PM E.T. as the Celtics visit the Pistons. The Knicks will host the 76ers at 7 PM, while the Spurs will host the Thunder at 9:30 PM to close out the night in a dramatic Western Conference Finals rematch.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for today’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for today’s action.

Chet Holmgren Less than 12.5 points

San Antonio gave Holmgren problems all last season, and the Thunder get that same matchup right out of the gate tonight. He averaged just 10.6 points across 11 meetings with the Spurs, including the playoffs, while finishing below this line seven times. The biggest concern with Holmgren’s role last season in these matchups was his involvement: Holmgren averaged only 7.3 FGA during the Western Conference finals, down from a healthier 11.3 during the regular season. With Victor Wembanyama still anchoring San Antonio’s defense, I’m expecting another miserable night for Holmgren in a matchup where he’ll presumably struggle to find his offense.

Duncan Robinson More than 2.5 three-pointers

Robinson doesn’t need a bigger offensive role to make this number appealing. He averaged 2.9 threes on 7.0 attempts last season, converting 41.0% from beyond the arc, and maintained that workload with 6.9 attempts per game in the playoffs. Boston allowed opponents to attempt 39.1 threes per game, fifth-most in the league, giving Robinson plenty of room to work with today. The Celtics have changed personnel, but Robinson’s established volume and efficiency give us a solid foundation for him to get More than 2.5 treys this afternoon.

Cade Cunningham More than 8.5 assists

Detroit has added pieces around Cunningham, but its offense still starts with him. He averaged 9.9 APG last season, with Jalen Duren providing a target inside and the aforementioned Duncan Robinson punishing teams from outside. Boston allowed the fifth-most three-point attempts per game last season, which could create opportunities for Cunningham to find Robinson and Detroit’s other shooters on the perimeter. He also has nice chemistry with Jalen Duren, whose dramatic back-and-forth with the Pistons culminated in a five-year, $200 million contract.

Cunningham recorded 8, 5, 10, and 14 assists in four meetings with the Celtics last season. The All-NBA guard will look to come out of the gate strong.
