Texas vs. Florida Player Prop Best Bets
Ryan Wingo Anytime Touchdown (+120)
Ryan Wingo leads Texas in receptions this season and is turning into a consistent touchdown scorer. Over Texas’ last two games, in two really tough matchups against Tennessee and Oklahoma, Wingo has combined for eight catches for 131 yards and a touchdown. Wingo has scored a touchdown in two of Texas’ three matchups against Power Four opponents, including last week against the Sooners. He should be in for another big game this week against Florida.
The Florida defense has real problems. The Gators rank 127th in the nation in defensive EPA/play and 124th in defensive success rate. They have been lit up in back-to-back games by Missouri and South Carolina. Florida has really struggled to tackle, which is bad news against Wingo. Wingo is a shifty playmaker who can take a normal passing play to the house if the opposing defense doesn’t bring him down fast.
Arch Manning has been disappointing so far this season, but Texas has also played a brutal slate of opposing defenses. This is a good chance for the Texas offense to get hot and show what they could be capable of. That should lead to many targets for Ryan Wingo. At plus-money, it is well worth a bet on Wingo to find the end zone in Austin.
Dallas Wilson 50+ Receiving Yards (-112)
Dallas Wilson is Florida’s top receiver this season, leading the team in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. This season started with Florida dominating on the ground with Jaden Baugh. However, opposing defenses the last two weeks have made it their entire priority to stop the run. Both Missouri and South Carolina took away the ground game and forced Florida to be a pass-heavy offense, leading to two Gators losses.
There is no reason to think Texas won’t come with the same approach. The Longhorns have to think that if they can take away the ground game, they have a great chance to win in Austin. That should lead to plenty of targets for Dallas Wilson. He had a season-high eight catches last week against South Carolina, finishing the game with 74 receiving yards. The week prior, against Missouri, he had 66 receiving yards. Wilson should keep that run going against the Longhorns, a team that he had six catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns against last season.
