Can you trust Quinshon Judkins in your fantasy lineup if he plays in Week 6?

The Cleveland Browns are hosting the Baltimore Ravens in an AFC North rivalry game in Week 6. The Browns will be short-handed in the backfield, though, with Dylan Sampson (knee) not ready to return from IR, along with Raheim Sanders (hip) landing on IR earlier this week. Quinshon Judkins (ankle) is questionable with his own injury, but if he plays, should he be an option you trust for your fantasy lineup this week?

Let’s take a look at the latest on Judkins’ injury and what to expect from the Browns’ running game against the Ravens.

Quinshon Judkins Injury Update

After Week 5’s matchup with the Jets, Judkins was seen in a walking boot, and he was not able to practice on Wednesday or Thursday. He did return to practice on Friday, though, earning a questionable tag for Sunday.

Judkins could get a big workload if he’s available, but if he’s not, Audric Estime and Jaleel McLaughlin would likely step into bigger roles in the backfield. Estime would be the favorite for early-down work and would likely be the best fantasy play, although it would be Estime’s first work of the season after joining the Browns this week from the Vikings’ practice squad.

Quinshon Judkins Fantasy Football Outlook

Judkins finished Week 5 with 14 carries for 44 yards while adding three catches (on four targets) for six yards. He has been the team’s primary running back most of the season, logging 59.8% of snaps. He’s totaled 221 rushing yards on his 73 carries (3.0 yards per carry) and has added multiple catches in each game, totaling 102 receiving yards with 18 catches on 20 targets. His lone touchdown of the season came in Week 4 against the Steelers, when he finished with a season-high 21.6 FPTS.

Judkins has at least 7.0 FPTS in every game this season, but that is his only game with more than 10 FPTS. He’s been a volume-based RB2 when healthy, with a low-floor due to his volume and secure role. If he’s active, he’ll be a fringe top 30 RB again this week.

In Week 6, Judkins will take on the Ravens, who have allowed the seventh-fewest FPTS to running backs this season. Last week, they held Bijan Robinson out of the end zone, but they have allowed four RB rushing touchdowns this year. Last year, Judkins averaged 60 rushing yards in his two games against the Ravens and didn’t find the end zone.

The Bottom Line: Sit Quinshon Judkins if possible in Week 6

With the added risk of his injury and a tough matchup, Judkins is best left on the bench, if possible. However, in deep leagues or without better alternatives, he does still bring enough potential due to his volume to be an RB3 option this week.
