Week 6 of the NFL season is here! Whether you got knocked out or never got in before the season, it’s not too late to join a survivor pool. You can enter DraftKings NFL pools here.

The rules for NFL Survivor Pools are simple. Each week, you pick a team to win their game straight-up. If that team wins, you move on to the next week. If they lose, you are eliminated. However, you can only use each team once. So, while you want to prioritize picking a team that will win, you also have to consider your season-long strategy.

NFL Week 6 Survivor Pool Picks, Strategy and Best Teams to Use

Week 6 Survivor Pool Best Pick

Rams over Cardinals

The Rams were dubbed a “superteam” heading into the season. However, things have not quite gone according to plan for Los Angeles. It has a 2-3 record heading into Week 6 and is in a massive hole to win the division. However, this is clearly still one of the best teams in the NFL. The Rams have played a brutal schedule so far, but things get much easier over the next few weeks.

Los Angeles lost to the 49ers in a weird spot in Australia to open the season. Its other two losses came by four points on the road in Denver after giving up a last-minute touchdown and against the Bills after having a game-winning field goal blocked in overtime.

This is a perfect chance for the Rams to get things back on track. The Cardinals rank 31st in the NFL in defensive EPA/dropback. The Rams should be able to throw all over that defense and put up a huge number. The Rams are in need of a win and should get one at home against the Cardinals.

Week 6 Survivor Bold Pick

Bills over Raiders

The Bills are off to a great start. They are 4-1 and coming off a huge road win over the Rams. This might not be a “bold” pick on paper to back the Bills over the Raiders. However, this will be back-to-back road games in the Pacific Time Zone. That can be a tough task under any circumstances, but this is even tougher because it is a short week after playing on Monday night. However, Joe Brady has his group doing the right thing, staying out in California to practice for the week. That will make the short week and travel much easier for the Bills.

Buffalo leads the NFL in offensive EPA/play and ranks second in offensive success rate. It is incredibly well-balanced, ranking inside the top four in offensive EPA/dropback and offensive EPA/rush. That makes its offense nearly impossible to stop. Josh Allen seems to be on a mission this season and he should take care of business in Las Vegas. The Raiders’ defense has really struggled the last two weeks, losing two straight games.

Week 6 Survivor Favorite to Avoid

Ravens over Browns

The Ravens are coming off a big comeback win against the Falcons. Tyler Huntley did a great job in the fourth quarter and overtime, but the Ravens’ offense really struggled in the first half. There is a chance Lamar Jackson returns this week, but it seems like Huntley might make another start. It will be a really tough test for him to go on the road again, this time to Cleveland. The Browns’ defense is elite when playing at home, and it will be a struggle for the Ravens to score. A road divisional matchup, potentially with a backup quarterback, is not the time to use the Ravens in survivor pools.
