This bet can be found under the “Match Parlays” tab. Arsenal made it all the way to the Champions League final a season ago, losing in a penalty shootout to PSG. On Tuesday, they take on another French side, and this time it’s Lille in the second matchday of the League Phase.
Lille have started the season very well and are certainly no scrubs. They sit ahead of PSG in the Ligue 1 table after six games, and are second overall. More importantly for this bet, they have scored in every game they’ve played in this season, and that includes a 3-2 loss to Real Betis in their opening UCL game. Lille have scored 11 times in seven total matches so far this season.
Arsenal however, are the better team here. They went 8-0-0 in the League Phase last season on their way to the final. They’ve started off this season well also. They won their opening game of this competition against Napoli, and have won five of their six games to start the Premier League season. There have been some slight defensive worries in their last two matches however, which I think could continue here. They conceded three goals to Brighton in the final game before the international break, and conceded one to Leeds on Saturday.
The Gunners could win this one easily, but I do think Lille will find themselves on the scoreboard before it’s all said and done.
