DraftKings NFL Millionaire Winning Lineup Breakdown for Week 5

Bad weather affected a few Week 5 NFL games, but high-scoring contests and big performances still delivered plenty of fantasy football sunshine. On the dramatic 11-game slate, an entry from user ilanwor finished at the top of the leaderboard for the NFL $2.75M FANTASY FOOTBALL MILLIONAIRE [$1M TO 1ST], with an impressive total of 250.06 FPTS, which was more than six points clear of the rest of the field of 161,557 entries.

Here’s a look at the highest-scoring entry from the Week 5 millionaire contest:

DraftKings NFL Millionaire Winning Lineup Breakdown for Week 5

Pat Patriot Produces Points

For the most part, ilanwor spread the love, with the winning entry featuring multiple players from a single team. The top entry featured Drake Maye (42.46 FPTS) and DeMario Douglas (22.5 FPTS) from the Patriots, each with a monster game against the Raiders. The Patriots looked outstanding in their red “Pat Patriot” throwbacks and proved the “look sharp, play sharp” adage by trouncing visiting Vegas.

Maye led the entire slate, which is unusual for a QB, completing 26 of 34 passes for 374 yards and four touchdowns. He also added 25 rushing yards and ran for a fifth score. He didn’t turn the ball over and seems to be past his early-season struggles.

Two of Maye’s touchdowns went to DeMario Douglas, who finished with four catches for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Douglas was in only 1.2% of lineups, while Maye was in only 4.3%. This Patriots stack was a huge differentiator and helped ilanwor stand out from the rest of the field with their huge games. While Maye was the top scorer overall, Douglas was the seventh-highest-scoring receiver, even though his salary was a bargain at under $4,000.

Warren and Watson Deliver W’s

Two other huge contributors to the top entry from ilanwor in the early window were Steelers running back Jaylen Warren (39.8 FPTS) and Packers WR Christian Watson (35.3 FPTS). Both powered their teams to wins and delivered huge fantasy results.

Warren started the day with a massive 80-yard touchdown reception from Aaron Rodgers and led the team with 87 receiving yards on six catches. He also thrived in his usual role, taking 15 carries for 101 rushing yards and another touchdown.

Watson and the Packers also got a huge home win, beating division rival Bears 31-7. Watson went off for six catches for 143 receiving yards and two touchdowns, leading the slate in receiving production. Watson, Jordan Love (28.28 FPTS), and Matthew Golden (23.3 FPTS) all had huge games for the Packers, who looked strong on offense after some early-season inconsistency. Watson continues to show he can be a top-10 receiver when healthy and definitely stepped up for ilanwor this week.

Likely Story

Alongside Watson and Warren, ilanwor added D’Andre Swift (17.3 FPTS) in the early window and selected the Jets DST (16 FPTS). Rain in New York and the Browns’ offensive struggles helped the Jets post the week’s second-highest DST score, recovering two fumbles and racking up an impressive eight sacks. Rookie David Bailey led the charge with another impressive performance.

The other big contribution in the early window came from the other New York team, as the Giants played to a tie with the Commanders in sloppy weather in Landover. As the Giants stormed back from 14 points down in the fourth quarter to force overtime, Isaiah Likely (32.4 FPTS) posted the highest tight end score on the slate.

Likely caught 11 of his 13 targets, with overtime adding a few more, and finished with 94 yards and two touchdowns. He ranks second among tight ends with 33 receptions this season, plus four touchdowns and 284 receiving yards.

Jaymyr Gibbs Brings it Home

After a fast start to the slate with those superstars in the eight early games, ilanwor’s entry had only two players in the late window. One of them was Chargers wide receiver Tre’ Harris (3.6 FPTS), who left with a hamstring injury and was the only player to drop a snowflake in the top entry.

Even without much from Harris, this entry still had enough to hold on for the win, thanks to Jahmyr Gibbs (40.7 FPTS), a chalky pay-up play against the Cardinals who delivered another monster game. Gibbs was in 26.6% of lineups in the Milly Maker, the sixth-most of all players on the slate. He wasn’t a big differentiator, but he was basically a requirement to finish near the top of the leaderboard after the trampled all over Arizona.

Gibbs finished with 25 carries for 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns, plus five catches on six targets for 56 yards. Gibbs led the backfield, just edging Warren’s total and continuing his dominant season. He’s living up to the hype as the top pick in many season-long drafts and the biggest salary on DFS slates.

The Bottom Line

On Week 5’s main slate, Drake Maye was the key selection, with the most FPTS on the board and only 4.3% ownership. Pairing him with his top-scoring receiver was a bargain and a differentiator, letting ilanwor include the top-scoring running backs, the top WR, and the top TE. Only five players had over 35 FPTS in Week 5, and the top entry included four of them.

Looking ahead to Week 6, more bye weeks and another NFL London Games matchup leave 10 games on the main DFS fantasy football slate for Sunday afternoon. The smallest Sunday afternoon slate of the season so far doesn’t slow down DraftKings, though, which has a full slate of contests, including another chance for a huge top prize in the NFL $2.75M Fantasy Football Millionaire [$1M to 1st], which will award another $1 million top prize for just a $20 entry.
