Best NHL Player Props Today
Gabe Perreault 1+ Point (-105)
Perreault has notched a point in 4-of-6 outings this season, and he is tied for the third-most points on the team (4). Tonight, the Rangers will face the Canucks, who have looked abysmal defensively and between the pipes, ranking first in high-danger chances against and second in goals against per 60. Kevin Lankinen is the expected starter for Vancouver tonight, and he sports a 7.16 GAA and .792 SV% this season. He ranks dead last in goals saved above expected and fifth-worst in SV% above expected, while allowing 5+ goals in 3-of-4 starts. Perreault plays on the first line, alongside Mika Zibanejad and Pavel Dorofeyev, and should see plenty of easy chances to show up on the scoresheet.
Taylor Hall 1+ Point (+115)
Similar to Perreault, we’re attacking a team with poor defense and goaltending to start the season. After posting goose eggs in each of his first three outings, Hall has notched five points in the past three games, with three goals and two assists. Carolina draws a matchup against a Flyers team that is reeling early, having lost each of its first six games. Joseph Woll will likely start for Philadelphia between the pipes, and he has been the lone bright spot for this team thus far, posting a 2.61 GAA and .927 SV%. Still, he has very little help in front of him –– the Flyers are tied for the most 5v5 high-danger chances against and have allowed the third-most 5v5 goals against. Carolina ranks eighth in 5v5 goals for, and Hall ranks second on the team in 5v5 points per 60.
