Penn State vs. USC Player Prop Best Bets
Benjamin Brahmer 50+ Receiving Yards (-102)
Benjamin Brahmer has been a steady target for Rocco Becht this season. Penn State has been without its star receiver, Koby Howard, the past couple of weeks. The Penn State passing offense has not been nearly as explosive without Howard. Becht has been forced to take what he can get, and that has often come in the form of the tight end. Brahmer has nine catches across the past two games.
The USC defense has massive issues. The Trojans rank 133rd in the nation in adj. defensive EPA/play. They can’t stop anybody and have no interest in tackling. That is good news for the 6’7, 250 pound tight end. The USC defense will not want to tackle a big physical ball carrier like that. Brahmer should get a few targets and turn those into producitve gains by picking up yards after the catch.
Trent Mosley Anytime Touchdown (+120)
Trent Mosley was USC’s standout player in the first two games of the season. In Week 0, he had seven catches for 118 yards and a touchdown. In Week 1, he had four catches for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Then, in Week 2, he had two catches for 33 yards and a score before getting injured. He has now missed three consecutive games with an injury, but the Trojans are hoping to have him back at full strength for this massive game against Penn State.
USC’s offense ranks eighth in the nation in EPA/pass and fourth in passing success rate, despite spending the last couple of weeks without their star receiver. Jayden Maiava should move it through the air and will look for his top target downfield. He has scored a touchdown in every game he’s played in this season, and Lincoln Riley will try to get him the ball whenever he can.
