Their fate carries a lot of impact in relation to Arsenal, who currently sit in second place but could really be in first if the Citizens are sanctioned this season.
That, however, is all ifs ands, and maybes for now. The reality is that the Gunners lost their last game in convincing fashion, falling 3-0 away to Brighton. Despite that, they are still in a great spot after winning each of their opening four matches. They’ve had a few weeks to regroup, and I think they will respond with a win in this one in front of their home fans.
Arsenal have dominated this fixture in recent years, winning each of the last eight matches between the sides. In six of those games, three or more goals have been scored, including in each of the last three. It’s been a dominant run for the Gunners, and I sense that’s going to continue. Arsenal have won five straight home games in the league going back to last season, and despite a decent start to this season for Leeds, I expect that to continue.
I like Arsenal to get back on track here, and for three or more goals to be scored in this fixture for the fourth consecutive time.
