Four different Division Game series are set to take place on Wednesday across Major League Baseball.
For those looking to cash in quickly on a bet, nothing makes more sense than an NRFI. With that being said, there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Some pitchers thrive early, while others take more time to get settled in than others. Which NRFI picks are worth a closer look on Wednesday?
Ahead of today’s Major League Baseball playoff contests, here are two NRFI bets worth placing on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best NRFI Prop Bets Today
| Game | Pitching Matchup |
| Guardians vs. White Sox NRFI (-125) | Espino vs. Newcomb |
| Rays vs. Yankees NRFI (-135) | Martinez vs. Fried |
Guardians vs. White Sox NRFI (-125)
Daniel Espino gets the nod for Cleveland this afternoon, likely serving as an opener. He hasn’t done much in the big leagues this season, tossing 15.1 innings. During that time, he’s recorded a 4.11 ERA and 1.24 WHIP. Still, the 25-year-old has some experience in this spot. He notched two outs without giving up a run during Game 1 of this ALDS series. Granted, a repeat performance won’t come easy against Chicago’s powerful lineup. With that being said, this matchup could prove difficult for the South Siders. The White Sox own a .732 OPS against right-handed pitching, only good enough for 18th in the majors.
On the other side, Sean Newcomb will get the nod at Rate Field. It’s been a terrific season for the reliever, serving as an opener this evening. Through 90.1 innings pitched, he’s put up a 3.09 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 84 strikeouts (8.4 K/9). That includes two scoreless, one-hit innings back in Game 2. Newcomb has plenty of experience in this matchup, allowing three earned runs over 10.1 frames vs. Cleveland (including the postseason). The Guardians come into this one with a dismal .675 OPS against left-handed pitching, fourth-worst in the majors. To boot, the AL Central leaders have a lackluster 24.69% YRFI rate on the road, ninth-lowest in baseball.
Rays vs. Yankees NRFI (-135)
Nick Martinez will attempt to earn a sweep tonight for the red-hot Rays. It’s been a remarkable, All-Star campaign from the veteran. Through 180.0 innings of work (31 starts), he’s accounted for a 3.10 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 109 strikeouts (5.5 K/9). It’s worth noting that the 36-year-old performs better on the road (2.38 ERA) than at home (3.90 ERA). In addition, Martinez has allowed two earned runs or fewer in each of his three meetings with New York in 2026. The Yankees, even ignoring their recent struggles at the plate, aren’t poised for success here. The Pinstripes have produced a 27.27% YRFI rate this season, seventh-worst in the majors.
Taking the mound for New York will be Max Fried, still one of the league’s premier hurlers. Over 112.2 innings pitched (20 starts), the southpaw has recorded a 2.80 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 104 strikeouts (8.3 K/9). Even more important, he comes into Wednesday’s contest riding a seven-game NRFI streak. The Rays, while dangerous, could have some difficulty getting it going tonight. Tampa Bay has a .678 OPS against left-handed pitching, sixth-lowest in the league. In addition, Fried owns a 1.81 ERA over seven career outings vs. the Rays. That suggests another solid outing could be in store tonight at Yankee Stadium.
