Best NHL Anytime Goalscorer Picks Today
Kirill Kaprizov Anytime Goalscorer (+130)
Kaprizov has scored three times across Minnesota’s first two outings of the new season, and tonight, he draws a matchup against a Sabres team with shaky goaltending. Buffalo has allowed 4.50 goals per game this season, and Colten Ellis, who has 16 career starts in the NHL, is the expected goaltender. Ellis is solid and likely Buffalo’s “best” goaltender at the moment, but Kaprizov is cooking early, and he has found success versus this Sabres team in previous seasons.
The 29-year-old leads all Wild skaters in ice time per game this season, and he has notched a total of seven goals in 6 of 9 career meetings against the Sabres. In 2025, he ranked 26th in xGoals per 60 and 15th in actual goals per 60 among all forwards, and he’ll see additional opportunities on the man advantage against a Sabres team that holds a 60% penalty kill percentage thus far.
Dylan Guenther Anytime Goalscorer (+170)
Another guy who has gotten off to a fast start in the new season is Guenther, who notched three goals in his first two outings. He is coming off an impressive 40-goal, 33-assist season at just 22 years old, a season in which he ranked first on the team in goals per 60 and second in on-ice goal percentage. The 23-year-old doesn’t have the same ice time allure as Kaprizov does, ranking fifth on the Mammoth in ice time per game among forwards this season, but he still plays on the top power play unit and has logged 12 shots on goal on 21 shot attempts through the first three games.
It is safe to say that Jake Allen will return to the net for New Jersey tonight, considering Nico Daws allowed six goals on 32 shots on Saturday in the Devils’ second game of the season. Allen, who is now 36 years old, was solid in his first start, stopping 23-of-25 shots in an overtime win over the Flyers, but he was average towards the end of last season, with a 2.90 GAA and .895 SV%. Utah’s offensive attack has averaged the eighth-most goals per game (4.00) so far this season, and it sports a stellar 66.7% power play percentage thus far.
