Best Chris Sale Prop Bet for Dodgers vs. Braves NLDS Game 3 on Tuesday 10/6/26

A crucial Game 3 showdown takes place tonight in Atlanta. After evening this NLDS series up on the road, the Braves now hand the ball to Chris Sale. It’s been another terrific season for the left-hander, who pitched twice last week against Philadelphia. Can he carry his squad to a massive victory over the Dodgers on Tuesday?

The Braves are -110 favorites over the Dodgers tonight on DraftKings Sportsbook. The total is set at 6.5 runs. Below, I’ll break down my favorite Chris Sale prop bet.

Chris Sale 1 or Fewer Earned Runs (+100)

Even at 37 years old, Sale is still putting up unreal numbers on the mound. 2026 has been no different for the former NL Cy Young winner. Through 162.2 innings of work (27 starts), he’s recorded a 2.16 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 200 strikeouts (11.1 K/9). Even more impressive, the southpaw posted National League-best 0.6 HR/9 and 1.7 BB/9 ratios. That combination of pinpoint accuracy and limiting hard contact is difficult to come by. It’s also a skillset perfectly tailored towards postseason baseball, where any little mistake could flip a game on its head.

Granted, it’s one thing to deliver stellar regular season numbers. Keeping a loaded Los Angeles lineup in check is a whole different story. The Dodgers were fourth in runs scored (801), seventh in home runs (204) and second in OPS (.762) during the regular season. In addition, the team averaged the league’s third-most walks per game (3.87). The defending champs have put up a .755 OPS against left-handed pitching, fifth-best in the majors.

With that being said, today’s contest could prove difficult for LA’s bats. After all, a grizzled veteran such as Sale won’t be intimidated by the moment. It helps that today’s game takes place at Truist Park; the southpaw is sporting a minuscule 1.66 ERA at home this season. To boot, Sale has had notable success in the past when these two teams have met. Back on August 27th, he tossed a complete game shutout vs. the Dodgers. The lefty has allowed two earned runs or fewer in three of his previous four meetings with Los Angeles.

Inside a pitcher-friendly venue with a full four days of rest, Sale should be locked in tonight. Should he put a few runners on during the middle innings, Braves manager Walt Weiss will have options. Atlanta’s 3.44 bullpen ERA during the regular season was fourth-best in the big leagues. Still, Sale is a good bet at even money to keep Los Angeles’ big bats in check tonight.
