DraftKings NFL Millionaire Picks: Best DFS Plays for Week 4
Quarterback
Dak Prescott ($6,400)
The Dallas Cowboys have slipped to 1-2 on the season, and the pressure is on for Dak Prescott and company to rip off a streak of wins. Through the first three matchups, Prescott has completed 69.5% of his pass attempts for 730 passing yards, seven touchdowns and one interception while adding 59 yards with his legs. The four-time Pro Bowler is currently averaging 21.4 fantasy points per game based on DraftKings scoring, which ranks 10th among quarterbacks. Prescott and company will be facing off with the Houston Texans this week in a cross-state rivalry. While Houston has a defensive-minded identity as a franchise, the production has not lived up to its reputation in the early stages of the year. The Texans enter with an 0-3 record, rank 19th in opponent points per game, 23rd in net yards per pass attempt allowed and 26th in total passing yards conceded. Josh Allen shredded this Houston secondary for 334 passing yards and four total touchdowns in the season opener; Joe Burrow moved the ball comfortably for 207 yards through the air and a pair of touchdowns in their Week 2 blowout win, and even Daniel Jones tallied 235 passing yards and a touchdown last week. Expect Prescott to be next on this list and for his stat line to look in the range of what Allen produced against this Texans team in Week 1.
Other Considerations: Joe Burrow ($7,700), Patrick Mahomes ($6,500), Trevor Lawrence ($5,900), Kyler Murray ($5,300)
Running Back
Cam Skattebo ($6,100)
The outlook for the New York Giants shifts greatly following Jaxson Dart’s season-ending knee injury. But John Harbaugh has made it clear that the organization is not just rolling over and waiting for next year. New York traded for J.J. McCarthy midweek, but Jameis Winston will remain in place as the starter for at least this week’s matchup. Winston can be erratic, but he at least has the arm talent to force opposing teams to avoid crowding the line of scrimmage and keep running lanes open. This will continue to be a major benefit to Cam Skattebo, who is largely growing into the foundation of the Giants’ attack. Through the opening three games, Skattebo has tallied 50 rush attempts for 177 rushing yards and a touchdown, while adding 59 receiving yards through the air. The Arizona State product is averaging 12.2 fantasy points per game, which ranks 21st among running backs based on DraftKings scoring. New York will face off with the Arizona Cardinals this week and will be eager to capitalize on a valuable chance at a win. Arizona ranks 24th in opponent points allowed, 23rd in net yards per rush attempt and 26th in total rushing yards allowed. There is some competition in the Giants’ backfield, but Skattebo has tallied 65.4% of the offensive snaps this season and is coming off a season-high 20 rushing attempts in the previous game. Expect the Giants star to see plenty of opportunities in this matchup and be eager to capitalize against the vulnerable defense.
Kyren Williams ($5,900)
Kyren Williams will continue to be looking over his shoulder a bit with Blake Corum’s role continuing to grow in the offensive attack. But this is a situation in which both running backs are capable of being the entire engine of the offense and iron sharpening iron more than Williams slipping. Through the opening three games of the season, Williams has 38 rush attempts compared to Corum’s 28. Overall, the Notre Dame product has tallied 214 rushing yards, 106 receiving yards and two total touchdowns. Williams’ 18.0 fantasy points per game ranks 10th among all running backs so far this season. The Rams have had some early growing pains, but they are facing an Eagles team with a similar outlook. This is especially the case as Philadelphia will be without its top tackling linebacker, Zack Baun, and DeVonta Smith absent on offense. Even at full strength, the Eagles have failed to adequately stop the run, and they enter this week ranking 25th in total rushing yards allowed and 24th in rushing touchdowns conceded. Given the limitations in the passing game that have been seen already this year, and how it will be magnified without Smith in the flow of the offense, expect there to be a clear path to Los Angeles playing with the lean and leaning on its rushing attack at a greater rate. Count on Williams seeing plenty of opportunities in this matchup and capitalize on a defense that has struggled to stop the run thus far.
Other Considerations: Javonte Williams ($6,600), D’Andre Swift ($6,400), Jeremiyah Love ($5,800), Ollie Gordon II ($5,500)
Wide Receivers
Nico Collins ($7,200)
There is no question that Nico Collins is one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL whenever he is physically healthy. But injuries have been an issue to start this season once again, as he has missed Weeks 2 and 3 due to a hamstring injury that occurred in practice. Houston put up 31 points of offense with him on the field in the season opener, and it is averaging just 11.5 points per game since. During the opening matchup. Collins pulled in seven of his 10 receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown, which comes out to 21.2 fantasy points based on DraftKings scoring. He will look to add to this strong start to the season against a Cowboys team that has not taken the defensive leap that was discussed so much in the offseason. Through its opening three matchups, Dallas ranks 25th in opponent points per game, 26th in passing touchdowns allowed and 27th in net yards per pass attempt. The secondary remains the biggest weak spot in the Cowboys’ defensive unit, and the Texans will be making a clear effort to get the ball to Collins following his return. Expect double-digit targets to be sent in Collins’ direction once again, and don’t be shocked if the Texans star is in play for the top scoring DFS wide receiver of the week.
Parker Washington ($6,500)
Parker Washington has been a borderline revelation for the Jaguars’ offensive attack this season. The fourth-year pass catcher has recorded 15 receptions on 22 targets for 221 yards and a pair of touchdowns through the opening three weeks of the season. Washington is averaging 16.4 fantasy points per game on DraftKings scoring, which is tied for the 13th-best rate among wide receivers. He leads the Jaguars in each key receiving metric, and this is a trend that looks to be here to stay. This will especially be the case as the Jaguars prepare to face off with a Cincinnati Bengals team that is vulnerable on the defensive end themselves. They have taken some encouraging strides in some areas after being among the league’s worst last year, but Cincinnati still ranks 28th in total passing yards allowed. Jacksonville does a nice job of moving Washington around the field, and the trust that Trevor Lawrence is showing in him is clear. Expect this to be a major part of the game plan as Washington finds gaps in the vulnerable Bengals defense and gets leaned on at a high rate. Count on the Penn State product remaining one of the top-producing wide receivers in the league and outperforming his price point again this week.
Jordan Addison ($5,300)
Justin Jefferson has officially been ruled out for this week’s Vikings matchup against the Dolphins. While this is a major hit to the outlook for Minnesota as a whole, it also means more opportunity for Jordan Addison. Through the opening three games, Addison has pulled in seven receptions on 16 targets for 111 yards and a touchdown. But what is most notable is how nearly all of this occurred last week after Jefferson was sidelined. During the Week 3 victory, Addison pulled in five of his nine targets for 90 receiving yards and a touchdown. Without Jefferson again this week, expect his role in the offense to remain scaled up and for the former first-round pick to continue delivering. This is especially the case as the Vikings prepare to face off with a Dolphins team that ranks 28th in opponent points per game, 26th in passing touchdowns allowed and dead last in net yards per pass attempt allowed. There are still plenty of growing pains as Kyler Murray settles back into the starting quarterback role. But Addison’s importance to the team is evident, and this is a matchup he should be expected to make the most of.
Other Considerations: CeeDee Lamb ($8,600), Garrett Wilson ($6,800), Rashee Rice ($6,400), Courtland Sutton ($4,900)
Tight End
Jake Ferguson ($4,300)
It has been an underwhelming start to the season for Jake Ferguson, but don’t expect it to be long before he re-announces his presence as one of the top tight ends in football. Through the opening three weeks, the Wisconsin product has tallied nine receptions on 11 targets for just 72 yards. Ferguson has, however, reached the end zone three times already this year. Even while he has not been as consistent a part of the attack as last year, the 27-year-old is still recording 11.1 fantasy points per game on DraftKings scoring, which is tied for 11th among tight ends. The red zone production is doing the heavy lifting in this output thus far, but expect Ferguson to remain near the top of the pecking order when Dallas is in scoring range. This is also a great opportunity to springboard his production against a Texans team that has struggled defensively in a major way to start this year, especially at the tight end position. Tyler Warren tallied nine receptions for 55 yards against Houston last week, and Dalton Kincaid headlined the production in Week 1 with 130 yards through the air against the Texans. Expect the Cowboys to have this vulnerability in Houston’s passing attack circled and for Ferguson to be heavily involved throughout this matchup.
Other Considerations: Trey McBride ($6,500), George Kittle ($5,100), Mark Andrews ($4,200)
Flex
Rhamondre Stevenson ($5,100)
It has been a rocky start to the season for the New England Patriots as they attempt to climb back to their Super Bowl aspirations. At the heart of these concerns has been the uneasy play by quarterback Drake Maye. The entire organization, including Maye himself, has said all the right things thus far. But the reality is the UNC product has one passing touchdown, six interceptions and fumbled the ball twice already this year. One of the best ways to get him back on track is by leaning on the rushing attack at a greater rate. Rhamondre Stevenson will be one of the primary beneficiaries of this and is looking to build off the 179 total yards from scrimmage he has tallied already this season. Stevenson kicked off the season with 95 yards from scrimmage, but he has been largely limited since. Some of this has been dictated by the game script as New England has fallen behind and leaned on more of a pass-first attack. While the possibility of falling behind is certainly on the table against this Bills team, at some point the Patriots must look themselves in the mirror and re-discover their identity. This team had such great success last year leaning on the running game at a high rate to set up the rest of the offense. Count on Stevenson beginning to see his role grow again and for the $5,100 price point to be a comfortable price point in the flex role.
Defense & Special Teams
Green Bay Packers ($3,200)
Sometimes the outlook for fantasy football defense is far more dependent on the matchup than the team itself. The Green Bay Packers will prepare to face off with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week, with undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels set to get his first career start following the injury to Baker Mayfield. Daniels has some impressive raw traits, but he can be erratic with his decision-making dating back to his time in college and he still has plenty to prove as far as his arm talent. Green Bay has struggled a bit defensively to start the year, but this is expected to be one of the better units in the sport, and this is a great launching point to achieving these heights. Even still, it has notched seven sacks and forced two interceptions already this year. Expect this to be a welcome to the NFL moment for the undrafted rookie in Tampa Bay and for the Packers to limit much offensive production against them.
Other Considerations: Vikings ($4,000), Giants ($3,100), Rams ($2,600)
