Best NHL Player Props Today

Viktor Arvidsson 3+ Shots on Goal (-120)

The Red Wings may be a bit of a dumpster fire this season, as the club deals with the Dylan Larkin debacle and is expected to field a relatively below-average lineup at the start of the season. Detroit’s only meaningful offseason move was signing Arvidsson to a two-year contract, and he’ll be expected to contribute immediately in a top-six role. Arvidsson is coming off a 25-goal, 29-assist season with the Bruins, and he’ll find himself playing for a different club for the fourth straight season.

In 2025, the 33-year-old was one of Boston’s consistent offensive threats, ranking second in shots per 60 and first in shot attempts per 60. Tonight, he’ll face a Rangers team that will be playing its third game in four days. New York allowed the 12th-most shots per game and the eighth-most to opposing wingers last season, and Arvidsson cleared this line in one of two meetings. Additionally, the Rangers have taken nine penalties across two games, which should lead to even more shot opportunities for Arvidsson on the top power play unit.

Jack Eichel 2+ Points (+165)

Eichel has a history of storming out of the gate at the start of seasons, recording 10+ points across the first five games in each of the past three seasons. He recorded three points on opening night on Tuesday against the Blackhawks (1G, 2A), and draws a matchup tonight against what should be Lukas Dostal between the pipes for Anaheim. Dostal posted a 3.10 GAA and .888 SV% last season, and he was especially lackluster across the final two months of the regular season and in the postseason.

The soon-to-be 30-year-old ranked inside the top-five in goals per 60 and first in assists per 60 on Vegas last season, and he has recorded seven goals and 20 assists across 24 career meetings versus the Ducks. One specific area that Eichel can take advantage of is in the special teams department, considering Anaheim totaled the sixth-most penalty minutes in 2025 and fielded the sixth-worst penalty kill unit. Vegas, on the other hand, ranked sixth in power play percentage in 2025, and its top power play unit is incredibly stacked. Eichel’s primary strength is his playmaking, but he is more than capable of scoring goals, too, and two points at plus odds is very good value tonight.
