The home team has won each of the first two games of the series, and the scene now shifts to Las Vegas for a win-or-go-home Game 3. Plenty of star power in this one, as A’ja Wilson went off in a Game 1 win for the Aces, and Caitlin Clark responded in Indiana with a Game 2 win for the Fever.
Let’s set the scene for Game 3 and breakdown a prediction and best bets for the game.
Fever vs. Aces Game 3 Prediction
Clark and her co-stars willed the Fever to victory in Game 2 on Tuesday night in Indiana. She poured in 27 points, knocking down five 3-pointers, to go along with 15 assists and seven rebounds. Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston combined for another 48 points in the win.
After dominating Game 1 with 38 points and 16 boards, Wilson was quiet in Game 2. She had just 14 points with four minutes remaining, and the game slipping away. Then chaos erupted, with Wilson called for a foul and getting into it with a fan sitting court side. The majority of opinions have been that Wilson was in the wrong for going after a male fan that was pointing at here. I don’t care who was in the right or wrong in the situation, though. The confrontation lit a fire under Wilson.
She finished the game by scoring eight points in the final four minutes. I’m expecting that fire to carry into Game 3 at home, and translate into another dominant performance from Wilson. Aside from that motivational angle, the Aces have been a terrific team to back off a loss all season. Las Vegas is 10-3 following a loss, going 9-4 ATS in those games. When the Aces took a loss and played the following game at home, they went 5-1, winning by an average of 14.2 points.
The public is all over Clark and the Fever in this one. At DraftKings Sports, 94% of the money is on Indiana taking the points, along with 66% of the money on Indy to win outright — you can track these betting splits right up to tipoff here on DK Network. Despite all that money on the Fever, we’ve seen the Aces grow as favorites, after opening -4.
Indiana is a good team, but this is all about Las Vegas. The Aces have bounced back strong all season, and the spot sets up for the most dominant force in the WNBA to go off for a big game.
Fever vs. Aces Game 3 Pick & Best Bets
This is a great spot to back the Aces, and I’ll bet on them in a few ways. My main play will be laying the points with them, as they’ve typically won with margin in this scenario. I’ll make another slightly smaller play on the Halftime/Fulltime market — to lead at half and win the game outright. Finally, I’ll make a very small SGP on the Aces to win while laddering some Wilson props, chasing those 38 points and 16 rebounds we saw in the series opener. That final small play would be a good one to use a WNBA profit boost on if you have one in your account.
