Rhyne Howard U 3.5 Rebounds (-119)
Howard went off for 26 points in Sunday’s Game 1 win over the Mystics, but she only grabbed one rebound in the process. Washington ranks second-to-last in pace and this club is yielding the fewest rebounds per game in the league (30.1).
Sunday was the fourth time this season Howard has faced the Mystics and she hasn’t cleared 3.5 rebounds in any of these contests. Howard even went without a rebound in her first matchup of the season with Washington.
The Mystics aren’t an ideal matchup for rebounding and playing alongside the WNBA’s top rebounder in Angel Reese leaves very few rebounds for a guard like Howard. Howard has fallen short of 3.5 rebounds in five of her last 10 starts and she once again should stay under this number in Game 2.
Awak Kuier O 12.5 Points + Rebounds (-110)
Kuier was held to just two points and four rebounds across 20 minutes in Sunday’s Game 1 loss to the Valkyries, but this was the result of a blowout. Golden State defeated Dallas by 24 points, so no starter for the Wings logged more than 25 minutes.
The Valkyries are a tough matchup, ranking first in defensive rating, but with this series shifting back to Dallas for tonight’s Game 2, the Wings should put up a better fight with their season on the line and Kuier should get back to her usual workload – Dallas is only a 4.5-point underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook.
With Azzi Fudd (knee) sidelined, Kuier is a starter for the Wings and in the 11 starts she has made since Fudd went down for the season last month, Kuier is averaging 9.1 points and 6.2 rebounds in 27 minutes per game. The forward is shooting 54% from the field and she has eclipsed 12.5 PR in eight of these 11 games. Role players tend to play better on their home floor during the playoffs and Kuier is a strong bet to clear 12.5 PR in tonight’s Game 2, despite the poor matchup.
