The 2026-27 NHL season begins on Tuesday night, with five games on the opening-night schedule. Here is tonight’s full slate:

Darren Raddysh 3+ Shots on Goal (+130)
Raddysh averaged 2.9 shots on goal last season with the Lightning, while ranking fifth and seventh in 5v5 shots on goal per 60 and 5v5 shot attempts per 60, respectively. The 30-year-old is coming off a career-best season, where he totaled 22 goals and 48 assists, and he’ll receive plenty of opportunities to continue the strong play on the Maple Leafs’ top line, alongside Morgan Rielly. Among all skaters, Raddysh led the league in total slapshots, and he showcased this last postseason against the Canadiens, totaling 12 slapshots across seven games.
The man simply loves shooting the puck from the point, and he’ll be surrounded by elite playmakers, both at even strength and on the man advantage. Montreal ranked 15th in shots allowed per game, 18th in shots allowed to opposing defensemen, and fifth in total penalty minutes in 2025. These teams hate each other, too, and the Toronto crowd should be extra rowdy to support Gavin McKenna in his NHL debut.
Leon Draisaitl Anytime Goalscorer (+105)
Draisaitl has found the back of the net 128 times across the past three seasons, which ranks third among all players only behind Nathan MacKinnon and Auston Matthews. Despite playing 65 games last season, the soon-to-be 31-year-old notched 35 goals, with 17 of them coming at even strength. Edmonton is always going to be an offensive powerhouse as long as Draisaitl and Connor McDavid exist, and it certainly helps to open the season against the Canucks, who allowed a league-high 3.83 goals against per game in 2025.
Kevin Lankinen will likely draw the start between the pipes for Vancouver, and he is coming off a rather abysmal season, in which he posted a .876 SV% and 3.70 GAA. On top of the obvious mismatch here, Draisaitl has found immense success against this club in previous seasons, posting nine goals across his past 10 outings against Vancouver, which includes three goals in two games in 2025.
