Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles will be facing off with the Chicago Bears to close down the Week 3 NFL slate. Caleb Williams will be sidelined due to the hamstring injury he sustained last week, and the Bears will attempt to improve their 1-1 record without him, while the Eagles will look to preserve their unbeaten start to the year.
Looking at the odds for the Week 3 Monday Night Football matchup, the Eagles enter as 3.5-point road favorites with -192 Moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Bears are +160 to pull off the upset, with the game total set at O/U 41.5 points.

Jalen Hurts Passing Touchdown Pick vs. Bears
Jalen Hurts Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+117)
It has not been the clearest path to achieving it, but the reality is the Eagles are off to a 2-0 start to the season with Jalen Hurts throwing five passing touchdowns in the process. He kicked off the season against the Commanders, completing 14 of his 25 pass attempts for 202 passing yards and three touchdowns in the season opener. Hurts followed this up last week against the Titans, in which he completed 26 of his 37 pass attempts for 264 passing yards and a pair of passing scores.
Perhaps the bigger storyline regarding the outlook for the Eagles is the lack of success in the rushing game. Philadelphia has leaned on a run-first identity throughout the era of football. But the offensive line has not lived up to the typical standard of this Eagles’ organization, and this has proven problematic in the rushing attack. This has been especially evident in the red zone, with the Eagles recording just one rushing touchdown so far this season. This came via Tank Bigsby, with both Barkley and Hurts failing to reach the end zone on the ground thus far.
But Hurts has answered this, proving effective in the red zone and embracing the new style of this Sean Mannion offense. There is a clear focus on the short passing game, and the Super Bowl MVP has showcased a different style of his ability in the passing game. This is a great matchup to build off, with the Bears showing some weakness in their pass defense already this season. Bryce Young shredded Chicago for 361 passing yards and three passing scores in the season opener in the 59-37 shootout. Carson Wentz was held without a passing score last week, but this said more about Wentz’s variable play than any improvements from the defensive unit. The Bears currently rank 26th in passing yards allowed, 27th in net yards per pass attempt, and 15th in passing touchdowns conceded.
The Eagles have made it clear they are willing to win whichever way is necessary, and have a several year sample size of producing with this as the mindset. With the lack of push from the offensive line limiting the outlook for the running game as a whole and certainly in the red zone, count on the team continuing to attack through the air at a high rate. Back Hurts to be the biggest vehicle for scoring on this Eagles’ roster and capitalize on the +117 odds for the Eagles’ star to throw for over 1.5 passing touchdowns for the third straight week.
