Below, I break down my favorite player prop bets for Saturday’s game between the Stanford Cardinal and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Stanford vs. Georgia Tech player props

Alberto Mendoza 220+ total passing yards (-110)

Alberto Mendoza connected with Jaiven Plummer and Debron Gatling for touchdowns of 37 and 33 yards against Mercer, finishing with 249 yards on 15 completions. I’d keep testing Stanford’s corners. Opponents have completed 68% of their throws at 8.1 yards per attempt against the Cardinal. Mendoza should have plenty to attack.

Jordan Floyd must hold up at left tackle with Ethan Mackenny out. Tech’s sacks-to-pass-attempts ratio sits near 9%, so I’ve kept Mendoza’s projection around 240 yards rather than assuming every promising possession survives. Stanford has conceded 303 passing yards per game. Even after trimming that allowance substantially, I’m taking 220+. Plummer and Gatling should make this secondary work for its stops.

Micah Ford 70+ total rushing yards (-110)

Micah Ford wrung 76 yards from 11 carries against Duke, even as Stanford spent the afternoon chasing points. Against Hawaii, he carried 25 times for 99 yards. I’d welcome something between those workloads against Georgia Tech, whose defenders have conceded 223 rushing yards per game—and just surrendered 188 to Mercer.

Ford’s 28-yard gain against Duke contributed plenty, so I’m projecting 70–80 yards across 16–19 carries instead of carrying over his 6.9-yard average. Davis Warren has to help: Stanford converted two of 11 third downs last week. Tavita Pritchard can keep feeding Ford if his quarterback completes enough throws to prolong those possessions. At 70+, I’ll back Ford to exploit a front that has conceded far too much on the ground.
