Saturday Night Live finally returns to NBC this weekend, and it’s getting the party started with the “King of New York.”
NBA superstar and reigning Finals MVP Jalen Brunson will host the Season 52 premiere of SNL on September 26, with musical guest KATSEYE.
He’s one of only five NBA players to headline the sketch comedy series, joining a star-studded shortlist featuring Bill Russell, Charles Barkley (4x), LeBron James, and Michael Jordan. He’ll be the first Knicks player to take the reins at Studio 8H.
KATSEYE — a global girl group known for viral hits “Gabriela,” “Gnarly,” and “Animal” — is also making its SNL debut, fresh off the August release of its WILD EP.
Ahead of Season 52, SNL recruited two new cast members in Saidah Belo-Osagie and Grace Reiter. The new additions followed the departures of mainstay Chloe Fineman and Please Don’t Destroy’s Martin Herlihy. Fan-favorite Bowen Yang also exited the show midway through last season.
